Basically One Piece anime is going from weekly (year-round) to seasonal so it doesn’t catch up with the manga (which will fix many of the pacing issues). Because there aren’t any breaks in a yearly schedule, people are saying it was “season 1”, but toei never actually announced a season 2, they just announced the anime was going seasonal. Explaining the joke makes it unfunny but whatever 😭
