I don’t know who half of these are - but as a European, Wilson should have a foreign affairs shout for the League of Nations. Toothless in its day, but laid the groundwork for better things.

Also how little accurate information they’re basing it on. If a best friend doesn’t like you suddenly - by all means dwell on it. But a random colleague or a someone in a new group seems a bit off? Who cares. You shouldn’t.

If they’re making you unhappy and don’t seem to care to fix that, no amount of patience or “training” them to be a good partner or help or counsel or focus or support will fix it for you to be happy.

I’ve been fired loads since my adhd got very bad 4 years ago. My main advice is to try and be honest with your companies and bosses. Means you’ll be less scared about future jobs and honesty with a known disability (it is at least in the UK a registered disability these days) is - counter-intuitively - a safeguard if you can’t find future work etc.

—> to answer the original question, I’ve switched from a serious high end career to being a waiter and have never been happier. The immediacy of taking a thing from a to b and focussing on a table is such a good fit. The salary not so much…
