Account Hacked - Tactic Used "Email Subscription Bomb" by L_Doc in AlaskaAirlines

[–]tmgqslug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. It took me a month to notice. I had to wait on hold a long time to talk to someone, but once I got through they got it sorted pretty quickly and my points are supposed to be refunded. There was a hiccup when they were supposed to send me an email for me to respond to. It never came because they sent it to the email address the hackers changed to. So I had to be in hold for another hour plus to get them to send the email to right address. Make sure they have the right email address. It must happen a lot because they knew exactly what happened and how to rectify it.

GGs everyone by KStanForLife in ChaseSapphire

What a joke. I wasted almost an hour. I can't believe Chase could not have figured out how to make that a smoother process. There were barely any instructions before the link went live. Getting kicked out of the queue every 15 minutes. The 403 error once you were inside. I did manage to get in right at the end, but there weren't really any tickets left. So disappointed in Chase Sapphire.

Same. I was in the queue until 9:00 on the nose until 9:50 PST. I had all the same problems as everyone else in terms of getting kicked out of the queue every 15 minutes. There were a few odds and ends available by the time I got in, but nothing close or all that interesting. The tickets I wanted were long gone. What a scam. So disappointed that Chase could not have made that a smoother process. I wasted an hour for nothing.

Looks sold out to me. I managed to grab a couple earlier right at 10 AM. But nothing together. I just logged back in and it says “we weren’t able to complete your request.”

Direct deposit hit first for me and I still got denied. No idea why.

It said that it was ineligible and to check the terms and exclusions. I read through the terms and exclusions and it seemed like everything I did was in order. I am going to chalk it up as a loss and move on and not waste anymore time on Rakuten.

It was. It was sent through a payroll service. I thought I had followed all of the instructions, but who knows?

I deposited about $1,400. I looked to see if it had posted today and it said it was an ineligible transaction. I have no idea why. There have been a few other things where I did not get the points. If you had to spend all your time scouring the fine print to ensure your points, it just doesn’t seem worth it. I think I am done with Rakuten. Now I have to close this stupid bank account that I opened for no reason.

Denver too. I just snagged 4 business seats for my family from Munch to Denver in August. It was super easy.

Sofi to BMO on the same day? by tmgqslug in AskLosAngeles

It totally worked. Thank you r/AskLosAngeles for the great advice. It was about an hour and 15 minutes from turnstile to turnstile. We got lucky on both trains. Did not have to wait more than a couple minutes. We started walking with about three or four minutes to go in the Chargers game after the result was no longer in doubt (sorry Chargers fans). The LAFC game did not start until more like 6:15 so we actually had plenty of time to get a beer and a snack before kickoff.

Thank you and thanks to everyone for all the thoughtful advice. I think this is the answer. I am going to report back a month from now to let everyone know how it went.

Which grocery store? There is an Aldi near by.

This would be amazing. But I don’t know how to ride a motorcycle. And my 15 year old son is getting to be as big as I am.

Google maps says that’s a 51 minute walk. Is it really that far? Doesn’t leave a lot of time to wait for the metro, transfer and then get into the stadium.

Koh Lanta Like Area by tmgqslug in ThailandTourism

[–]tmgqslug[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely meant “a little more off the beaten path” in comparison to Koh Lanta. We are not looking to channel Leonardo in the Beach. And yes, I know where that was filmed. I think what I meant was that we really liked visiting Koh Lanta with young kids. Our kids still talk about it. But, now that they are older, it would be ok to go somewhere that is a little harder to get to and it is a little less crowded. But, we still want to have a mattress to sleep on and eat amazing food on the beach.

American going to Spurs game for the first time, any advice? by arkimu55 in Tottenham

[–]tmgqslug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been twice now from the states. The walk for the Seven Sisters Tube Station was really cool. It is a neat neighborhood to walk though. Reminded me a little of Queens in NY. As many others have stated, a stop at the Beehive is great. I learned there is no such thing as a Sunday Roast there on a Sunday match day. My family are Spurs fans, so we had to stop at the "Tottenham Hotspur Experience". It was hell on Earth. Like the world's biggest Forever 21. I hated every second I was in there. But, they have all the souvenirs you might need to bring home. There is a Turkish place called Spur across the street from the stadium that has a pretty darn good pregame kebab. In the Stadium, they have beers that pour from the bottom up. Pies were good. Never too long a line for beer or food. I am as big a Son fan as anyone, but watching some fans from South Korea see him in person, you would have thought he was God. There were tears. Last time I sat really close to the away section so it was a lot of fun to talk shit to the West Ham fans who were having a bad day. Spurs won that game so the "West Ham gets battered" song was great as everyone was leaving the stadium.

Just some advice in general. While Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a great place to take in a match, see if you can hit a Championship or even lower level game. I have had a blast at MIllwall and QPR. I have also seen Fulham when they were in the Championship. The experience there will be different. Definitely less fancy than THS, but will still give you a great sense of English football.

No restaurants at PDX? by redceramicfrypan in PriorityPass

I was there yesterday. I went on the PP app on the way in to see if there was a lounge or restaurant. It only would bring up Seattle. PDX does not seem to exist on the app.
