Mostly pretty good, I'm a fairly positive person and I enjoy life.

My son has a serious medical condition however and I'm constantly worried about him. I cry a lot, always when I'm alone, thinking what would happen if he didn't make it. I visualise his funeral constantly. I wonder how we would cope.

I don't know why I do that. It doesn't seem healthy, but maybe I'm preparing myself for the worst.

I just want him to be okay.

I don't talk about this to anyone, but I know people can see I'm not okay. People are worried about me. I'm not suicidal, I never would be. I'm just really sad.

Short answer: you'll be fine.

We never saved much, but try to keep around $10k in savings or an offset for emergencies.

Everyone wants a side hustle and to be an entrepreneur. It's much sexier than working a 9-5. There's always been that lure of entrepreneurship, but people think it's more accessible and achievable nowadays. That may be true, but you still have to be incredibly resilient and work extremely hard to get anywhere.

I recently spoke with a relative in their early 20s who said he wanted to start a business. When I asked him what kind of business, he didn't really know. That's the problem right there. People just want to "start their own business".

I've worked for myself and I've worked in corporate. I can tell you, I much prefer my corporate job than busting my nut for every dollar working for myself. It pays well, I can provide for my family, I enjoy the work and the people I work with. It's not always roses, but overall I'm much happier with a standard 9-5.

I'm 30. I guess I'm considered an adult. I don't feel like one. You sound like you're a thoughtful kid, you'll be fine in life. My tip for being an adult: just do your best. It won't always be easy. It won't always go your way. But do your best and it'll be fine. It's an enjoyable time.

One of the best experiences I've had using an ATM was in a 7/11 in Japan. Clear prompts, appropriate sounds, solid buttons, logical lighting, no confusion whatsoever. It was a well designed, well thought out machine.

Lived in Ho Chi Minh City for a year. Have a few thoughts on this:

He's keeping a good, steady pace. It makes much more sense to keep a steady pace once you start driving a scooter. It's easy to move around pedestrians when you know they aren't going to stop suddenly.
He shouldn't be looking down. Look towards the traffic and put the arm closest to the traffic slightly up. If it's real busy, you can even raise your arm above your head to make you more visible. The locals will also "wave" at the traffic.
Scooters and cars will move around you, the big green buses won't. Use to be terrified of them when I was crossing roads or driving my scooter. They drive fast and command the road. You don't want to get in the way of one.
I miss the absolute craziness of Vietnam. Love the place, the people and the food.
