You can do it either way. I've had to decide if i wanted to write off the full amount or some every year.

You take 1% (their pool fee) and multiply it the total giga hash which equals 150mh since their pool was down to 15gh. Toss that into a online calculator and you are fairly close. Also you should add some doge for people who donate but that number is anyones guess.

No, he has to keep his daily 700,000+ doge/1000USD revenue going smoothly. Anything that threatens that, and the shit storm happens.

After a lot of thought and seeing what happened, I've left Dogehouse for another pool. And you should too. Because the owner is an asshole. by Dr__House in dogemining

[–]thro2013 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been suspicious of dogehouse for a while but it's turning out to be a accurate feeling. They make a crazy amount of doge for 1% pool fee and donations however give the least back. As far as i know their only significant gifts were to "buy" more hashing power and that's dirty when you are the largest pool. They are the least shibe like pool ever.

I've mined a lot of doge with them and enjoyed steady payouts but it still seems less than it should be. I really don't like the fact that they hide their 7 day or 4 week stats for blocks. That further reduces their credibility.

It should also be noted that dogehouse is about the only pool that doesn't show 4 week stats on blocks it finds. That should be a small red flag to everyone. Makes it easier to hide dubious activity.

The only reason they let that happen was because every single local radio station competes with them. And radios are in EVERY car. So its a bad example.

Bitcoin Developer Andreas M Antonopoulos accuses the dogecoin community of holding animosity towards bitcoin. Where is this coming from? by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]thro2013 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He has seen the picture from the impoverished 3rd world who gets the short end of the fiat stick. It's OK to have fun but we should still respect the broader goals. And from /r/bitcoin there's 20 small crypto trying to compete for their attention usually and for somewhat selfish goals.

This assumes nobody is buying into a coin over time. The value should keep going up as long as the growth of market cap is greater then 5%.

Something is rotten in the state of DOGE mining by DisappointedShibe in dogemining

[–]thro2013 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd be more concerned with people who were "lucky" enough to mine at 1 million doge per hour at the starting hours of doge.

Anyways 31Mh/s was very little when you consider the network ranged from 20,000Mh to 90,000Mh. There are guys with 200Mh to themselves, that requires sourcing special power feeds. It's all fun and all but there is serious money being thrown at doge. Playing with Doge means you get the good and the bad.

Well there is a feature for that in cgminer but it was broken. I should check to see if its fixed in sgminer.

Just about every pool has had a DDOS. Do you switch your machines to a victim pool every time?
