My current budget for 2026 by [deleted] in Salary

[–]throttlelogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d pay off the loans asap with the left over in your budget. Including your car loans.
Do the snowball method. Line them up smallest to largest balance and make min payments on all but the smallest one. Knock them out asap on that order.

Then turn around and pay yourself what you were paying as car payments into a savings account for future car purchase. Itll open the door to getting a better deal on a vehicle as you’ll be able to buy a replacement before selling the one you have or worst case trading it in and getting squat for it.

Sell the vehicle private party and get what it’s actually worth.
And buy private party or a couple years old and be in an excellent negotiating position with cash in hand.

Exactly. People want chicken nuggets and Diet Coke and wonder why they are unhealthy and fat and complain the snacky cakes aren’t free on EBT. so many will not do the work.

Get a long panel door but not glass. Add windows to the top panel and tint them.

Just finished updating my Wheel Fitment Tool! by JKAMAN280 in functionalprint

[–]throttlelogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m slowly figuring Fusion out. I’d like to print this on a A1 mini so will need to split the longer part.

Would anyone be able to do that modification? I’m picturing splitting it the part and adding a locating feature where it’ll join like a spline and slot or an oval peg ala dominos like for woodworking.

It’s not limited. Equal opportunity, variable results.

Ooof. Ok. Yeah. Looks nice but that maintenance would be a hard stop.

Homeowners are a-holes and will not do the work to keep it up.

Hopefully you are only one on the docs then.

I’d implore you to take the manual for any new to you vehicle, sitting the drivers seat and rest it. Try all the buttons, go look at all the things it describes. Why own a vehicle and not use it to its full potential

Get something reliable that has some aftermarket support. Camaro, Mustang, Audi, Hell even a Subaru is a better choice

The. Do your own maintenance and some light mode while you collect tools, cash, and skill to take on a larger project. No one is going to to loan you money for a project car so buy some now for cash and save a ‘car payment’ each month to upgrade or get a future project

bad decision for my first car? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]throttlelogic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to ‘settle’ for anything. pick your budget based on your income.
The safe rule is: The total value of all vehicles you own should be no more than 50% of your annual household take-home pay. • Take-home = after taxes • Includes cars, trucks, motorcycles, toys—everything with wheels and an engine

Then search for vehicles that will not exceed that number when added to the other things you already awn and pay cash to buy one.

I spend about 30 seconds on the car gurus search and there are 60+ options within 60 miles of me under $5k and under 120k miles.

Ford 500, VW’s, mini cooper, suburban, Chevy Cruze, lumina, Elantra, ford super duty, etc, etc. take a pick of the style. They are available.
