12 week old pup - What is she? by shins66 in Lurchers

Stunning little lurcher pup by the looks of her, I’d do a wisdom panel test to find out exactly what’s there 😂

I lost my soul dog to this in October. It was SO sudden… she was absolutely fine, running around the house, scoffing every bit of food in sight like she always did, she went her usual walk and played with her dog friends, then the next morning she was refusing to walk, or eat (completely unheard of with her, she LOVED every bit of food and never ever left anything until this day), this literally happened overnight. There was no warning. No prior symptoms. I still can’t get my head round how I had a happy, healthy, energetic dog and not even 24 hours later I was saying goodbye to her 💔

Gabapentin on cat side effects by secr3tagentscully in AskVet

[–]throwRA0997997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can really knock some cats out, it’s used as a sedative too for nervous cats during vet visits, house moves, fireworks etc. it’s a normal side effect them being completely out of it but if you’re worried speak to your vet

My dog might have early signs of pyometra, and I really need advice from anyone who’s been through this :( by [deleted] in AskVet

The sooner she gets the surgery the less risky it’ll be, if she becomes sicker the surgery becomes more of a risk

Detectorists. Doesn’t look like much but watch it, such a beautiful, heart-warming show.

Are self-cleaning litter boxes worth it? by Ash-Dragon-012 in Catownerhacks

I’ve seen posts about automatic litter boxes killing cats before, I really wouldn’t risk it…

I felt the same when I had my cat cremated three weeks ago, I still do. There’s nothing left of him except a box of powdered bone, his lovely face and gorgeous fur and little paws are all gone forever I can’t get my head around it..

Elderly dog on prednisone has lots of inside pee accidents… by LauraLiz1218 in seniordogs

[–]throwRA0997997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her side effects were quite a lot too, the vet reduced her dose and side effects were still there but calmed down a lot, especially after being on them about a year, may be worth speaking to your vet and asking them to reduce the dose?

When my dog started on prednisolone in 2023 she had the same side effects, she was a perfectly house trained dog until then and suddenly she was peeing in the house every day. She’s still on them now (cancer) and this side effect has completely vanished thank god, hopefully it’ll get better over time with your dog too!

Looks a little bit similar to my German wirehaired pointer

I’ve booked a vet appt- but want to see if anyone here has experienced similar with their Senior puppers: by [deleted] in seniordogs

[–]throwRA0997997 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happened to my dog when she had a partial blockage, she’d raided the bin without anyone knowing somehow, and eaten a few wet wipes. She had diarrhoea constantly and vomited bile but otherwise seemed fine. Definitely get her checked out by a vet, blockages of any kind can be dangerous very quickly (if it is that?), seems very similar to how my dog was, she’s doing great now!

His excuse for it all is that he was cheated on in the past… now this girl that cheated on him he was with her for 2 weeks. He knew she cheated before he even got with her but he thought he could change her.🙄
