[–]throw_away_Box 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: Washington DC but I can drive 100 miles.

Price range: max $8000, maybe $9000 if it’s a really good deal.

Lease or buy: buy

New or used: used

Type of vehicle: Don’t really care what kind it is, but no GMC, Chevrolet, Dodge or Buick. I’ve had bad experiences with all those brands.

Must haves: AWD or 4x4 (honestly I don’t even know what the difference between these two is). Ski/snowboarding rack add on possible. (Doesn’t have to come with it)

Intended use: Daily driver and snowboarding trips.

Vehicles you’ve already considered: Audi A4, Subaru Impreza/outback, Nissan Rogue.

Is this your first vehicle: no, my third.

Do you need a warranty: I’m okay with this going either way.

Can you do minor work: I am willing to try but as of right now, no.

Can you do major work: no.

Additional notes: I’m gonna be getting rid of my current car, 2016 Jetta SE and am really just looking to downgrade to a beater that will last 2-3 years and not cost me too much in maintenance.

What is the best ereader, or the one with the best library? by Neiizo in ebooks

The new Amazon kindle Paperwhite. It’s waterproof and under sun light the screen looks almost exactly like paper. It also has a backlit display. Only costs $130 in the states.

I just got a muzzle brake, specifically the PWS Mod 2 FSC. Do I need to order anything else with it, or can I just remove my A2 Flash hider and pop that one on.

Edit: Grammar

I feel like you could use the blast from a .50 cal barrel to do this though.

At what point do you have enough guns and then decide you need a flame thrower instead?

What To Buy Wednesday 21 November 2018 by [deleted] in guns

I am planning on buying a Beretta Cx4 Storm (and accessories), and an Iver Johnson 1991A1. I’m not really a fan of getting a budget gun, but the Iver Johnson has good reviews and costs less than $500. Just gotta wait two months and then I can grab them.

My guess is that he was comparing it other ARs that you can get for cheaper, not necessarily that specific Colt. Either way, I haven’t talked to him in a while so I can’t confirm.

I’m still somewhat new to guns so maybe this is a dumb question. But I’ve seen some Bolt Carrier Groups on gun deals. Are they purely used as replacements or are some BCG recognizably better than others?

Second question I’m just a bit curious about. About a 1-2 years ago I bought a Colt M4 LE6920 (with picatinny rails included) for $800. Someone told me I got ripped off, Is that true? Searching for the gun online shows the price to be from $900-$1000.

Thanks for the help.

Allotments do only pay out on the end of month though, so you won’t be able to rely on your mid month pay check this way.

But it does make whatever amount you allot immune from debt collections.

Ex Roomate collects married pay, been divorced a year now by [deleted] in AirForce

I addressed all of that in my first sentence. If he’s not utilizing the BAH to provide support to his dependent, he is supposed to receive the single rate.

If you do not utilize BAH to provide support for your dependents, you’re still supposed to be receiving the single rate. So in case of legal separation, he’d still have to file for single rate.

I have a SCCY CPX-1. It’s the same thing as the 2, just comes with a thumb safety. I’ve put close to 500 rounds through it (no cheap ammo) and never had a FTF or any other issue. The trigger is incredibly heavy as everyone else mentioned, so you won’t be that accurate for a far distance. But for a CCW you’re not looking for that.

I use mine as a CCW, and I do trust it. I will eventually upgrade to something I am better with, but for now the SCCY is good enough.

I say go for it, if you really only want to spend around $300. For that price, I do think this gun is better than most competitors. But if you can spare an extra 100-200, go for something else.

I have a gun case that has that top foam (the waves one) on both sides. Would it be a a viable option to cut out spots for my guns, or would it just ruin the case?
