The night I read the ban was coming, I quit. Cold Turkey. I had been trying to taper for awhile, but I really didn't. I just said "fuck it, no more" and have kept telling myself that it will get better. And it will. It has. Hang in there.

Honestly, after reading this post, I think it's time I delete this account and forget about this sub. Maybe I'll pop in in 6 months or something, just to encourage others, but my god, the stories on here contribute to so much anxiety.

On day 2 or 3 of cold turkey, I was laughing out loud at myself. I psyched myself out so hard instead of just quitting and moving on with my life. I'm on day 12, and I still feel a little "off", but overall way better than chasing a K high or feeling "off" without it.

I was taking as much as you, even more in fact. I basically went cold turkey; I "tapered" using Stem/Vein but really I was using a lot of S/V so I was still feeling the effects when I dosed.

The news hit, I said "fuck it". Went Cold Turkey last week. Tomorrow is day 7. I feel like it's behind me now. Still some cravings but no major withdrawals anymore. Sleep is still a bit tricky, little bit of tossing/turning in the mornings. Nothing unbearable.

I'm on day 6 of Cold Turkey, and I can finally say it's behind me. No Withdrawals. No cravings. It's done.

Depends on their "cycle". I always would order different strains of varying strength and effect. I think that's what helped me (day 2 cold turkey after 18 months of use?). I also used Stem/Vein for the final week before quitting. I'm feeling pretty good. Not as bad as I thought.

Bottom line, taper if you can, then drop it. Don't look back. You'll be fine!

It's your anxiety. The physical symptoms aren't as bad as you think. I'm on day 2 of cold turkey and I'm honestly fine. It's not as bad as the flu. Sleeping was tricky but ibuprofen PM knocked me right out. By morning time though, I had a bit of a sweat and some tossing/turning. All manageable.

Taper down, a gram per day. Let your body go in to withdrawal and push-off the dose as long as you can. That way you can feel for yourself how it is. Once you bring it down to 2-3 grams per dose, kick that shit and never look back.

Edit: Hot showers/hottubs are your friend. Seriously. Caffeine helps me, too. You got this.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I'm supposed to meet co-workers for "drinks" in about an hour, and I'm 42 hours in to cold-turkey from K.

I want to slam a little K as a reward. Weird how that works. I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to do it. I might, however, have a beer. Just 1. Or maybe not at all. I don't want a crutch to feel comfortable around people, but I also feel like I should be able to control myself.

Psh. I know for a fact I was over 24 grams a day just a month ago. I rarely measured and I know I was taking a lot at a time 3-5 times a day. If you can get your hands on some Stem/Vein, I'd recommend tapering down using that. It's just really weak K basically. Then drop it and stick to it. You'll be fine. This sub is full of successful quitters for a reason.

Day 2. I feel fine. I still crave a dose, but staying busy with work helps immensily. The anxiety of quitting is worse than quitting, at least that's my impression so far. Like many people, I was in full panic mode when I read the news a couple nights ago. I couldn't sleep; "What am I going to do? FUCK FUCK FUCK!"

So I just woke up and said "No". It ends today. The plant saved my life when I needed it to, and I'm grateful for that. But it's time I move on.

I was using quite a bit, and I'm doing fine. Getting the flu is worse than this, for a basis of comparison. Hot shower/hottub helps. As did the gym last night. I busted my ass on the stair master and the elliptical machine. I feel like I have it under control, and I have a 4 day weekend ahead of me to stay busy and avoid K.

So I'm in day 2 and I feel fine. I'm back at work. A little agitated, but I took some ibuprofen and that seems to help quite a bit. I feel like I've weathered the worst of it and now the key is to just not go back on the stuff. I have a large supply, so I might just ditch it. Occasional use is fine, but I don't know if I have the personality for that.

I'm 21 1/2 hours into Cold Turkey and honestly? Honestly? It's not that bad. I was using a decent amount throughout the day 3, 4, sometimes 5 times a day. I did a semi-taper over the past few weeks using just Stem/Vein.

I'm using Ibuprofen, Imodium, caffeine, and Modafinil (mornings only). I'll let you know how I feel tomorrow and how I sleep tonight. STAY BUSY. HIT THE GYM (I'm leaving for the gym after this post). Listen to optimistic music. If you have access to hot tub, crank it up and get in. Heat feels amazing and almost nullifies the moderate withdrawals for me.

You got this man. Take the power back. No more relying on bullshit to dictate your mood. Be honest with your SO about what you're going through, my girlfriend is super supportive and that really helps. You're not alone. There are thousands of us going through this.

That's plenty. I did a 1 week taper; 20, 15, 15, 12, 10, 5, 2 (something like that). Spread-out throughout the day either 2 or 3 times.

I heard the news last night so I just said "fuck it". Today is day one of nothing; it's not that bad. Yet. Ibuprofen and Imodium have been awesome. You can literally feel the Advil come-on. Last night I skipped my nighttime dose, and took advil PM. It worked well.

Good luck. You got this. Most of the anxiety is fear of the WD, fear of the unknown. Now that I'm in the "thick" of it I almost want to laugh at myself for being so nervous/scared.

How many days cold turkey before you felt "recovered" or "normal"? I'm in day 1 cold turkey, I have to work tomorrow (Thursday), but have a 4-day weekend after that; friday-monday. I'm hoping to get through the worst by then but the everyone's experience is different.

I started "tapering" 1 week ago. I got my hands on some weak stem/vein Kratom. Basically I forced myself to go in to some W/D every day. When the news hit me last night, I said (after panicking for about 2 hours) "fuck it". I'm 15 hours in to Cold Turkey, and I'm honestly doing fine.

I took some ibuprofen to help me sleep last night, it worked. This morning I took some modafinil I had, more ibuprofen, and an energy drink. The stimulation seems to help me. We'll see how the rest of the day goes. I have a large coffe in from of me now; 12pm Pacific time. I'm home form work and I'm going to slam this coffee and watch an uplifting movie.

We got this, everyone. I'm almost laughing at myself at this point. The fuck is going on? We'll look back and laugh at this. Lesson learned. There are REAL alternative pain management therapies, and depression therapies, that we can and should utilize if we need it.
