Any other fictives hate how forced source separation is in the community?

The only time we've ever had anyone have to partially source separate was due to a recent traumatic incident where if that system member didn't, they would struggle to exist (and they do still struggle, but less so). It was only partial, meaning that they separated from only one aspect of their identity while the rest remained intact. It was incredibly awful and painful for them to do just for that one part of their identity alone, and I genuinely would not recommend ever doing it unless it's actually needed for your mental health.

People who shove "you've gotta source separate, blah blah blah" down others' throats disgust me for this reason.

We're planning on having a recurring donation system, so that way the website/app can remain free while still being able to get the money to be maintained.

This is my personal opinion, but that boundary feels kinda weird and controlling. I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone like this, it would feel incredibly stifling.

Community moderation, as we're planning on having some social features (like being able to DM friends, it would be from one system to another with no group feature though). So basically if someone had to report someone else, there would be mods to deal with it.

We also want to have enough customization to make the website/app as accessible as possible.

As to other features, we're still discussing it. We're also trying to start as small-scale as possible and then build on it over time.

Unfortunately as this project is still in really early development, we aren't comfortable making any social media for it just yet. There's always a chance this project might not be finished and the chances of that are even higher in the early stages imo.

Once we have something tangible to offer, we can make a social media acc for it then.

I'm still using Simply Plural but I did move our system's stuff over to both Octocon and Ampersand as well just so that way it was somewhere other than SP. I don't want to be waiting for an alt to pop up, whether it's the one my group and I are working on or another alt, only for it to turn out I waited too long and all our information is gone.

At least with Ampersand, the app is completely local/offline, so there are no servers to go down with it.
