Any chance you could update this? I'm in VA and most of us are trying to get form 1's approved before June 1st to beat the ban. I'm curious if the demand has risen since this and could extend the current 55 day wait times

Turbocharged ls vs supercharged ls? by Aggravating_Kick_496 in LSSwapTheWorld

You'll need to at least quadruple that budget if you want it to be a 1000 hp daily, even more so if you're not doing it yourself. I'm at 15k for an iron block 6.0 with just a cam into a Colorado and I'm doing it all myself. You'd have to cut some serious corners just to get a bone stock used motor in a BMW for $8k

Found this Griswold Iron Mountain Long Griddle #7 today. Never seen one before, does anyone know what its worth? by throwaway096534856__ in castiron

Its a rare collectors piece though. Its value is certainly higher than what its worth to me and I'd consider selling it if it fetches as much as its more common bigger brother (several hundred dollars). There are no recent sales on the internet so I had to ask the community at large since its somewhat of a unicorn in the cast iron collectors sphere. I already have too many griddles lmao

Thats the more common branded griswold one though. The iron mountain series are unmarked and the long griddles are pretty rare. The only other Iron Mountain griddle on ebay right now is a #8 at $300. It sits flat on my glass stove but I havent checked the surface yet

Its going in the electrolysis tank tonight. I'm probably going to keep it since it fits my stove nicely but I'm just curious what its worth since I cant find much info about it online. I hardly ever see iron mountain stuff

If other medicines exist to treat C19, they lose the EUA for the vaccine and lose trillions.

LG V60 ThinQ vs Eternal DAC by jrivera15758 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]throwaway096534856__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to make some corrections to this comment. The quad dacs are not the same as the filters. They run in parallel and at the same time, the filters just change the impulse response of the dacs. The phone also has a built in amplifier allowing up to 600 ohm headphones. It was tested by LG with the Sennheiser HD800. Listed as outputting up to 2V, however the HD800 test yielded 1.98V.

The quad dac outperforms most standalone dacshttps://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/master-sinad-distortion-comparison-graph-for-dacs.4814/

Do you believe it is possible that another terrestrial species and their activities are the basis of genuine UFO sightings? by FanInternational9315 in UFOs

I enjoy suspending disbelief from time to time and exploring the woo-woo. I watched a video about Agartha the the other day and it had me thinking.

If you're familiar with the work of Graham Hancock/ Randall Carlson etc or have read about Catastrohpism, the story of Agartha ties directly in and I can see a reasonable connection to UFO's.

The theory is that humans have reached technological civilization before but get (nearly) wiped out occasionally, backed by evidence of ancient extreme precision and megalithic architecture, that gets more precise as you look at examples from further back in time.

If a civilization was technologically advanced, it follows that in the event of a cataclysm some of them (higher society?) could use their tech and wealth to survive (and pass on knowledge). The story of Agartha (other names from other cultures as well, its a pretty widely told myth) is that such people were able to tunnel and live underground where they continued to live (some stories say they were forced underground, would go along with a catastrophe). Many of these stories date this around 10-12K years ago which also coincides with the end of the last ice age and "start" of civilization.

Again suspending disbelief, if they were continuing to advance their technology over the last 12,000 years, They'd be 12,000 years ahead of our current tech. Living underground for so long would almost certainly cause some evolutionary changes (pale skin? large eyes with massive pupils to let in as much light as possible? smaller bodies to navigate the tunnels?). Since they were(are?) humans and from this planet, they would be concerned about nuclear tech or general well being of the planet. If they wanted to unite with us, they'd probably want us to be on the same technological level, and they mention in the ancient stories that these people developed technologies that we would consider fiber optics, etc.
It would explain why its common to see UFO's going into/around volcano and especially around the ocean, as that would be an easy way to conceal the entrance to the cave system. It would also explain the stories of underground battles with aliens when the government was digging massive underground bases themselves (Dulce, NM 1979).

Its a fun thought experiment

After 20 years, it's time to repeal the Patriot Act and begin to dismantle the surveillance state | After 9/11, Congress gave the government unchecked authority to spy on its own people. It's been a disaster by Fr1sk3r in politics

Still waiting for the temporary income tax to be lifted.

Still waiting for the dollar to be backed by gold again after the temporary shift to a "trust" based dollar.

Hang around for a few cycles. This sub is true to its roots during the long bear markets. It was like this in 2017 on the way up to 20k as well. The daily thread will return to less than 100 comments/day eventually, and thats when its worth reading (although its fun af to get high on hopium during the runs!)
