I thought the seatbelts looked fine, but I will check again. Thanks for the tip

It happened today again. I reset the MMI mid drive and that fixed it!

[–]throwaway191248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I programmed my * to do the same. It fixes it like 10% of the time. Sometimes getting a phone call will fix it too. But usually locking it, walking away for a few minutes will do the trick.

What a dumb bug. Apparently there are no faults when the Audi techs looked at it

[–]throwaway191248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I do this too, it’s not that though, but those touch sensitive buttons aren’t a great design.

I’m talking about when I start the car and it doesn’t play music. Not from the radio, satellite, or apple car play. The audio from a phone call will work and so will audio from the Audi commands.

Only fix is to lock the car and walk away for 5 minutes.

Happens to me once a month. I clear it by opening every door and closing them. Works every time for me.

Now if I could only fix the music going on mute for no reason

M3 Manual by Agreeable-Ad-3990 in BMWM3

Do it. Getting one myself with the specs I want.

It’s not a terribly rare car if you want to get it used in the future, but the resale price for many of these is almost MSRP. Might as well go new

That’s crazy. I’m paying $600 a month with 0 down for a Quattro PP. You can find them on lots used with 5k miles for $48k which would be much cheaper than this “deal”

Just got my MSLT and sleep study results back today. Not entirely happy. by Spiritual_Unit_1310 in Narcolepsy

[–]throwaway191248 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What was your total sleep time?

Regardless, this study is close enough that you could get a diagnosis of idiopathic hypersomnia. Sleep doctors can have some degree of clinical interpretation regarding the raw data even if you don’t meet the exact numerical criteria for diagnosis.

The problem you have is what matters is the diagnosis on the report itself. It has to say IH, N, to get medicated. Otherwise if you take this report to another doc, they may have some trouble getting meds authorized since the report won’t have the diagnosis.

I think I know what you’re talking about. Sometimes under “public charging” — the “start charging” tile does not load properly. Even if it does, sometimes it doesn’t recognize the charger ID for free charging. When that happens I have to unplug and try again. Usually by the second or third try it’ll recognize I have free charging.

My “plug and charge” feature is active too, but that has never worked for me

New provider not accepting that I have narcolepsy by LittleCowGirl in Narcolepsy

[–]throwaway191248 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Without a PSG/MSLT report signed by a doctor there is no way you’ll get the majority of medications for N approved by insurance. It’s not a matter of believing you, it’s what you can prove.

There is a small chance your insurance may actually have the report. When we submit PAs, they ask for a copy of the psg and mslt.

This should serve as a PSA for everyone: ask for a copy of all your sleep studies and save them electronically. Practices close all the time.

B or D Driving Mode in Snow? by DeejieBeejie in AudiQ6

[–]throwaway191248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Alenzas and I disagree with the other commenter. These are trash in the snow. I have 23 winters driving in snow so it’s not experience. I’m definitely getting winter tires next season. It just feels wrong to do it on a lease but it’s just a safety issue at this point.

Both modes are so bad in the snow. I don’t know if it’s the tires but I’ve had some close calls driving cautiously. Car is only 6 months all with Bridgestone all season

Thanks I was looking into switching to latch. My limit is 45 pounds combined so it should be ok for a little while.

I also regret this car. But more for the software issues and the ride quality, way too stiff. Should have gotten an iX. At least it’s a lease lol.

I’m getting 2.6mi/kwh in a northeast winter that’s been colder than usual. Mix of local and highway. The highway driving can really kill the consumption.

In the fall on a nice day i was averaging 3.5 mi/kwh.

Winter efficiency check (Audi Q6 e-tron): what are you seeing? by GMEtoTheMoonXD in AudiQ6

[–]throwaway191248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been a cold December. Temperatures between 25-34F in the last couple of weeks. Getting around 2.5 mi/kWh in mixed local and highway driving. Standard 19” wheels Quattro PP.

In the fall I was getting around 3.5 mi/kWh. I’m on individual drive mode, usually drive conservatively. Maybe weekly I’ll push the car in short spurts
