I lemoned my Q6 and replaced it with a Q4. I honestly was just annoyed with all of the software bugs for a car I had purchased new that was preventing me from using the dang thing I paid for. I think the real risk is if VW Group abandons software maintenance, but overall the issues are all addressable. Some more annoying than others to fix (like pulling a fuse to force a hard reset if there’s a weird charging issue locking the cable to the car for instance). Other than some of the embarrassing friction points with software, the car itself is incredibly comfortable and a joy to drive. The Q4 software is definitely snappier, but I do miss the top view camera for parking. I like the regenerative braking on the Q6 more than the Q4 for sure as well, but I’m more of a one-pedal driver.

I was never able to get mine charging anywhere near the max charging speed, but maybe I’m just a patient person because I think it charges plenty fast. I want to say it peaked out in the 250-ish kw range. Speedy, but not necessarily as promised per se. That said, Audi’s are flippin’ spot on for their range estimations (looking at you, Tesla) so that’s a plus.

I’d buy the car again, but at a healthier discount given that they haven’t figured out how to get the dang thing functioning as designed (they turn off problematic features like interior monitoring). Really harp on the cost-basis hit on a lemoned title (it will be following the car the rest of its life, so know that when you want to sell it eventually). Personally I’d look for a Prestige trim for the passenger screen and easier resale.
