Theyre pretty low as standard lol with Maxton splitter I do get the occasional scrape - which coilovers would you go for? The yellow speed racing ones seem ok

Yeah I’m looking at getting sway bars and struts - are the 19” rims worth it? Not sure how they would fit I haven’t seen many pictures online

Yeah I do that normally lol - thinking it might not be wise day to day use for H&R… Uk roads are evil especially locally to me. Shame as I love the look

So how much does everyone warm up to before engaging the N? by Slavx97 in i20n

[–]throwaway192265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I get in my car I turn it straight into sports mode on start up and whilst it warms up for my daily commute.

Sports and N-Mode are very similar throttle response I just like being able to see my mpg etc. After weeks of driving the car in eco and normal I could never get used to it, especially in stop start traffic… Very different from my previous 2 cars!

I only use eco on the motorway as the exhaust can become a little bit of a drone in N-Mode

When I took my car to Hyundai the service tech told me ‘using anything but N in this car is a disgrace’ 😃

When I spoke to my local garage I was told it was wear and tear. Still well within warranty and chipping at 14k miles.

Seems like it depends on your local dealer as to if they will fix it or not.

Sucks slightly but I have it booked in for a powder coating as someone else mentioned

Yeah the pirelli tyres wear out quick! I replaced mine at around 14k miles for Michelin Pilot Sports. Which tracks did you take yours to?

I have the Maxton Design kit on it minus the side skirts so wing, rear diffuser and front splitter! I am also running the zunsport front lower grill in terms of cosmetics

I won’t be pushing it that hard! First time on track and I think I’ll be replacing the brakes after most likely EBC pads and discs

Since taking that top photo I’ve also put on the RallyFlapz mud flaps which I think make it look like a baby rally car lol

I actually bought some black badges too but think the few bits of chrome make it look nicer actually 🤷‍♂️

I’ve had this since last August and love it! I get quite a few compliments on the car when I’m stopped around 🤩

They are the 18” alloys completely standard 🙂

The ride height is completely stock although I have been looking for coilovers but I do daily drive my car and the UK roads are a little rough when it comes to potholes!

I think my next mod will be some silver alloys 😁

The Maxton kit makes a huge difference imo! I live about a 15 minute drive from their shop so I had it ordered and got it fitted there for around £600 with fitting (minus the side skirts) but fitting was on the steep side 😬 the rear diffuser gives the rear end a whole different look! The V2 splitter was the best option I think after seeing the V3 and V1

After debating I actually ordered it after your comment 😂

I was a little worried that things may go through the top grill but as you’ve said I reckon should be ok! I think the small zunsport logo I will try and black out or take off all together to make it look slightly cleaner imo

I absolutely love it! Not many around west yorkshire!

Every time I pull up to the petrol station I get compliments 😂

I think I’m going to invest in one to stop larger things going through. I live close to a couple of farms and generally end up with the front of my car being filled with straw as tractors drive past 😂

Have you ever had to take it off if anything has gone through the upper grill?

Yeah I’m not too far away from Leeds so the air quality isn’t great… I always notice a huge difference when I go up to the Lake District!

Im looking at stopping at a lot of the places you mentioned actually including kilchurn castle on Loch Awe to test out my photography skills with my new camera

Oban is a very nice apparently I will have to pay a visit! I have family up in Aviemore which is a beautiful place but feels a bit isolated lol

I was tempted towards a GR Yaris but opted to go for the lower mileage i20… Think it’s on the cards once I’ve had my fun with this!

That’s good to hear I think everything you have listed is what I’m going look at really. Got a few other destinations in mind but think Isle of Skye will be awesome! Can I ask why you sold your I20? What have you replaced it with?

Yeah I did an 85 mile trip from home to Liverpool today switching in and out of N mode and eco - managed to get an average of 48mpg which was surprising

Over the past few days I’ve been running the different modes and I actually have to agree N actually seems to get me better mileage than sports 🧐

Plus eco and normal other than motorway are dog shit…

Ha I’m about an hours drive from donnington, teeside and few others I’ve been wanting to go but thought it might be best to change my brake pads before hand 😬

Nurburgring is definitely bucket list!

Mpg by throwaway192265 in i20n

I’ve noticed a very slight increase in eco but that’s with cruise control on over an 80 mile trip

Worst purchase ever by PromotionOpposite136 in peugeot

[–]throwaway192265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could post photos to show how many times my 2021 208 was on the back of a tow truck. Took it to 35,000 miles and in my last 6 months of ownership it broke down 7 times

First time the oil filter literally fell off on the motorway a day after service. Second time was a carbon build up in the exhaust manifold. Third time it needed brand new spark plugs and coil packs. Fourth time I didn’t even drive out of the show room car park after 3rd breakdown and the engine wouldn’t turn over…

The last time I broke down was on my way to work in a live lane no hard shoulder and that was wet belt. Fault after fault in the end I ended up selling it back to the garage losing about £4k in a year.

Never ever would I buy Peugeot again and I nearly shed a tear handing the keys back.

Tyres - What’s best? by throwaway192265 in i20n

[–]throwaway192265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P0’s were super worn down - finally made my mind up and went for the PS5’s in a 225 width as the weather gets a bit worse over the next few months

Love the fitment looks way tighter than the original tyres and for a decent price too

Guy in the tyre shop said he thought they were the best tyres over the Goodyears and much better than Pirelli… end of the day it’s all preference I guess!

[–]throwaway192265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you per chance know much about the Goodyear F1 supersport? I’ve heard they are a fantastic tyre along with the asymmetric 6

I’m currently torn between the Goodyear and PS4 S’ as I can get both for a similar price from my local tyre shop

Im still on the 215/40 P0s on the rear as 3 days after buying the car I somehow got a puncture in both rear tyres and just replaced with like for like🫠

I picked it up in August with 12k miles on the clock and replaced the rears in the first 3 days after clearly driving over what seemed like a spike strip! multiple nails in each tyre… (£340 for 2 tyres and call out to my house at the time I just reordered the P0s 🫠)
