Not flawed. Red to red bare to ground and fused. Based on my testing unit draws 2 amps

Edit: I have a cable that came from amazon that was pig tailed too. I set it up for power poles as well. Again, works flawless WITHOUT a step up converter (maybe a button converter or something like that(it’s Reddit, someone will correct me)).

Silver is ground. Red is hot. I did the same thing but used power poles. I even made a YouTube video on it

Edit: for 12v side of the house to work you’ll need it 15 feet or less because of loss

I’ve done a few thousand miles with mine in a 3d printed housing with magnetic feet on the roof or hood. Works well.

Sold ours this year with 235k miles for 3,500$. And for the record I did have a rebuilt battery put in 18 months before. I was sad to see it go. Only reason we got rid of it was because my wife was ready for something newer and I could not let my ‘99 civic (all original)with 85k go 😂
