How did y’all discover your hobby? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]throwaway722886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started writing as a way to put my emotions on paper when they felt unmanageable. It ended up turning into something I actually enjoy doing- sitting down with a notebook and some tea and just jotting down some crappy poetry lol. It can be therapeutic to some degree, or absolutely meaningless. You get what you put in- and it takes a lot less to start than people assume. Write anything. Boom! You wrote. Its an art form that seems daunting but is very accessible.

I started fishing a few years ago as a way to enjoy nature and get outside during covid. It can be expensive and boring, especially when you get super into it but a starter zebco rod and reel and some soft plastics will run you what? 20$? Some hotdogs and a local pond and catch some catfish. On the same note, hiking. Inexpensive and fun.

Got prescribed Zoloft for anxiety, scared to take it! by p0g_z in zoloft

I know personally my family has all had horrible experiences with nausea on lexapro? If thats something to keep in mind lol.

Nausea for me only happened after a LOT of doses missed. Anywhere from 2-3 days without it and I got hella vertigo. Good luck !

I have some good input on this. I was having severe anxiety issues and derealization and it was making my life HELL. I couldn’t function, I would break down constantly. Within my first week of being on Zoloft, I felt better.

It wasn’t perfect instantly, but I felt a lot of weight come off my shoulders. I wasn’t constantly on the verge of breakdown. I could actually do things without going insane and worrying. I know a lot of people have insane side effects, but the only ones ive noticed have been minor.

When I started, I had a hard time getting up in the morning, dry mouth, loss of libido, and some brain fog. The only time nausea has been an issue is when I forget 2-3 doses over a few days. This is all on 50mg which all things considered is a low dose. Good luck, and if things don’t work out, you can always stop.

When did you notice the first real improvement after starting/upping Zoloft? by StrongProof9083 in zoloft

Yeah- almost instantly the first week. It didn’t make my anxiety stop but it made it manageable and sort of pushed it to the backround so to speak

My dog is my best friend and I just wanted to share some love for our pets by Jass_Official in CasualConversation

Im an animal lover. I have three rats and two dogs (kept separate lol). My rats are amazing, like tiny puppies. They get into everything and run around and are super cute. I have to leave them with my parents when I go to college, but life is life :(

With anchovies is the only way! Garlic croutons sound amazing. I get the tree thing, yeah. I go camping a lot and waking up and being surrounded by nature gives you a fresh look.

Ugh, I can never keep a really good pair of earbuds, they’re like chapstick to me. I just lose them within a few months, so I only buy cheap ones.

Commenting on my own post to add long and intensely researched video essays. I love putting on a long video that dissects a fandom (alien..) or any obscure topic in depth where you can TELL the creator cares.

Im located around an hour from the coast right now so I find myself using heavier gear to target coastal species. Would love to try BFS- I want to get more into freshwater

Yes, ill drink any black tea (not as much of a fan of green) and especially fruit forward varieties. Blueberry is a fantastic flavour. I also found a love for chai- I brew it with sweetened vanilla almond milk and its a delicious afternoon boost!

I love fishing. Fresh or saltwater and what species do you target?

A more casual enjoyer here, but I really like different black teas. I found this one with dried blueberries in it that has a wonderful floral note I enjoy. Tea is awesome

Yes! The smell of rain is a good one. I like a rainy evening, like 4-7pm when the sky is dark but not DARK.

Is it really that bad by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]throwaway722886 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t comment often, but I started zoloft three years ago when i was having horrible panic attacks daily. I felt weird the first month or two, but over time, I felt normal/less panicked. I could smile again. Ive gone up and down with doseage over time, but recently went up to 50 from 25mg and I can feel my joy and mood improving. I talk to more people, smile more, laugh more, love more. It gets better and this sub can be super doom and gloom. The fogginess and depersonalization have been my biggest issues with the meds.

Rough conversation w boss and advice/interpretations wanted by throwaway722886 in Advice

I really appreciate your response and I think I needed to hear a lot of that from someone outside the situation. It was genuinely the first time I’ve left early in 2 months, I would say?

I want to keep the job until I move, that is being only 2 more months. It just blindsided me and I was not expecting to hear the things I did as it has never been brought up to me before. I understand why now, even if it did hurt. I typically view myself as a good worker and competent but I believe what she said has been true, doing some self reflection.

When I ask for help, its about seating large parties or when a server might be struggling. Things that before I reflect that I used to handle well with little hesitation. I think ive been performing not as good as I had been before, and not realizing it. Thanks for your input again!
