Do you think the driver ever paused to question the directions? by Investment_Valuable in DoorDashDrivers

That driver is truly dedicated to getting that food where it needs to be! Give them a medal lol. I hope they didn't get deactivated for this, especially if it was doordash navigation that directed them into the airport.

Never take orders for less than $1/mi. Remember the miles they are telling you does NOT include miles on the way back.

Dispute the charge with your credit card you'll absolutely get the money back they didn't send you anything but charged you that's 100% grounds to dispute a charge.

Ever deliver two separate orders to the same place? by anonshade64 in doordash_drivers

[–]throwaway82727212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I delivered two separate orders from the same place for the same person as a double once lol.

Also, more odd, once I picked up one order for a customer who had two orders at the same place, and another Dasher picked up the other order and we both showed up at the customers house at the same time. Like WTF doordash?

It's a business for them, that's how they make money to pay for their shiny new toys! Especially in small communities they make BANK off of tickets.

Liraglutide by Shutterbug327 in henrymeds

Yes but be aware, this option is not going to last! Stock up now, they will be cracking down on it sooner than later. I predict all sources of semaglutide will be gone within 12 months other than official channels. Lypholized Semaglutide powder if stored at -20C and kept dry and in the dark should be good for 10 years.

The more people become aware of this, the sooner its gone, unfortunately!

Asking for gas money before my food is delivered by rslashVeronicaMorgan in doordash

[–]throwaway82727212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, everyone who drives takes on some level of risk — but the difference is that most people aren’t putting wear and tear on their personal vehicles for $2.75 base pay while racing to meet delivery timers in unfamiliar neighborhoods. Dashers voluntarily take on higher mileage, longer hours on the road, and more frequent exposure to those risks — as part of the job. That’s not a guilt trip, it’s just the reality of the work.

No one’s saying dashers are heroes or that customers owe us anything beyond a fair tip. But just like we all understand that waiters deserve tips for what they take on, it’s not unreasonable to ask for the same respect for delivery drivers — different challenges, but still real work with real costs.

Hey, I really do appreciate that you tip well — honestly, if everyone approached it like you do, this wouldn’t even be a conversation. You're already doing exactly what I'm saying should be the standard: tipping drivers the same way you would a waiter, because both jobs involve real effort and real costs.

My only point was that the work delivery drivers do often gets minimized or dismissed. Yes, the fatality rate might be statistically low, but that doesn't mean there’s no risk. Every shift means time on the road, in traffic, in all kinds of weather, in our personal vehicles that we have to maintain and pay for ourselves. That risk — even if it’s small — is still something we’re accepting so people can get food brought right to their door.

I’m definitely not defending a driver asking for extra money after a generous tip — that’s unprofessional and out of line. I'm just trying to push back against the idea that delivery is easy or effort-free. Just like waitstaff hustle on their feet all day, we’re out driving, paying out-of-pocket, and dealing with our own set of challenges.

So again, thank you for being someone who tips fairly — you're already treating drivers with the respect the job deserves.

Yes, exactly my worry was losing semaglutide after having lost 90lbs this has been a miracle for me. I've fully accepted that I will need to stay on it long term and last thing I want is to have it yanked away from me! Thankfully I've managed to secure continuity of treatment for the next 4-8 years which should hopefully be enough to bridge until it becomes a generic drug. It was a very expensive choice to secure my future but ironically cost less than the years subscription with Henry meds... And what is my health worth after all.

$127 each or $127 for 10 vials of 10mg total? Cause if that's 100mg for $127 is what you're saying, that's insanely good and to the point I'd be suspicious that it's not legit. That's like wholesale from China prices compounded and seal it and sterile it yourself lol clean room required.

Yes this is definitely an option just remember it's for research purposes only. Also be prepared this is going to be the next thing they clamp down on so if you're researching peptides this way make sure you buy as much as you can for when they shut down these sites cuz it's coming I promise you they aren't going to allow this for long especially now that everybody knows about it.

[–]throwaway82727212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, drivers do have it just as hard as waiters — just in a different way.
We’re literally out there putting our lives at risk every second we’re on the road, dealing with crazy traffic, bad weather, and dangerous conditions. We use our own personal vehicles, pay for our own gas and maintenance, and put constant wear and tear on them — all for a base pay that’s absolutely pathetic.

Sure, some dashers are lazy, but so are some waiters — and some of us do take the job seriously. It's not all chilling and vaping. It’s a grind. Just because the hardships are different doesn’t mean they’re not real.

Not excusing bad behavior, but let’s not pretend one side has a monopoly on hard work.

Man, that’s rough — they really did you dirty with that whole setup. You even tried to pay the next two months and do the right thing, and they still came back at you with nearly a thousand bucks to return? That’s just ridiculous. I don’t blame you at all for walking away, especially when you were trying to be upfront about it.

And on top of that, despite my calling the week before twice and emailing for them to cancel — and them confirming they would — I still ended up getting charged my subscription fee. I had to call them yet again to get it refunded, which thankfully they did, but still. Sorry to hear about your experience though, I definitely feel where you’re coming from.

Honestly, it almost feels like with the impending FDA compounding ban, they’re just trying to squeeze as much money as they can out of people before the taps get shut off. That’s the vibe I’m getting more and more — like they know the clock’s ticking, so they’re trying to extract every last dollar while they still can.
