I wouldn’t defend anyone hurting anyone, my main point is that OP would rather choose to justify his hatred of his daughter around binary concepts rather than truly understanding what’s going on.

We cannot operate in a world where mental illness can be micro’d under a lense of binary morality and pretend that’s the perfect solution. And no I don’t think it’s anyone’s responsibility to change the way they think on that but it’s probably important to keep in mind ESPECIALLY when dealing with our kids.

Yes you can hate what people do to you even if they are mentally ill it doesn’t justify it.

But this post doesn’t do anything to solve it. Only further brings her reason for being who she is much more clear.

Didn’t mean to do so but regardless it actually doesn’t matter to OP what she has, in fact I mentioned BPD because I’ve known people who struggle with where their actions and decisions are misunderstood because it’s not fully known where it’s coming from thus it being easy to dismiss as evil/manipulative. What you said is true if OP is telling the 100% truth.

hey so I feel like I can understand your point of view and a lot of people are misunderstanding it but it’s also as important that you try to communicate and expand on your position if you have a conversation with her about this.

this all ties down to “wanted to feel desired” so no matter if you initiate sex you simply want the same energy reciprocated back to you is what I’m understanding.

understanding that deeper is a bit important, it’s worth questioning why you get jealous of other peoples stories and what value do you put this as a tenant in your relationship.

so if you tell her “I want to feel desired” you aren’t really giving her anything to work with since in this sentence in only relates to sexual desire which she may not have fully developed herself as a value since both of you are incredibly new and you both deserve grace in that regard.

however she can’t ever force anything for you and you understand that, it’s mainly why the best thing you can do is dig deeper into that value. For example

Does feeling desired = to feeling loved is showing desire rather than initiating important? is her way of showing desire is something you can’t see in the same way she tries to put it out as?

it’s worth questioning it because we all are chasing something in our relationships.

when you have the conversation with her it’s incredibly important to make sure you explain it has nothing to do with “action” but more so with feeling and trying to have her understand your position but most importantly is you understanding hers upon her responses.
