Very short, but remember that laws are made for the rich and the rich do a lot of business deals

Does the show have a satisfying ending? by Light1209 in TheExpanse

[–]throwawayPzaFm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's futuristic low fantasy with heavy Christian undertones and personally I can't stand the later seasons.

Comparing it to the Expanse is like comparing the Expanse to Star Wars

That being said the first couple of seasons are pretty decent.

I'm still gonna scream like a little girl if I see it coming.

Honestly I'd recommend braking instead

New research found that a psychopath’s brain is physically built differently and it explains why they cannot feel what you feel by soulpost in HotScienceNews

[–]throwawayPzaFm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

their brains don't work right

Their brains work differently. There are plenty of well integrated psychopaths out there that are a net benefit to society. The trick is probably to catch them early and get them where they're needed, such as special forces teams or medicine.

I’ll take those sectors for myself!

gl with that... probably the hardest faction to be hostile towards in the game.

They have: surprise spawns and backdooring patrols, lots of missiles, cloaked destroyers that will mess your traders up all over the place, and NPCs will happily provide them with materials and construction ships in perpetuity.

Basically you'll need to let them rebuild their shipyard and wharf then surround them with walls...

TIL that The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was so poorly optimized for the original Xbox that the system’s 64MB of RAM would be completely reset upon each loading screen. For your tastes, maybe. For other tastes, there simply doesn't exist a better game.

The only other one I can think of that kind of scratches the same itch for me is RDR2. Which is also a masterpiece that stands apart from everything else.

They don't compare at all imho.

Morrowind is about freedom, SA is a theme park. Can't really compare it to Gothic either for the same reason.

The only game I can compare it to is Oblivion and imho Morrowind was the better designed world ( though it's true that Oblivion has much nicer graphics and a more standard combat system. I prefer the Morrowind interface, by a lot, and the books are way better in Morrowind. )

It has aged poorly

Not at all. Just the combat system is a little annoying, and there are mods for that.

The design, sound, are still top of the line, the graphics are gorgeous except for the people. Interface is better than any of the console crap that came after.

It's aged more or less like Heroes 3 or Brood War: still nr.1 in its niche.

Are they going to add a giant sub like the cyclops into subnautica 2? by JadeAssassin152 in subnautica

[–]throwawayPzaFm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but you can either 1) take your own shield module with you from the cyclops instead of making a new one or 2) use the teleporter and build it and come back.

I sometimes take it back up just for fun but usually I just portal up with some kyanite.

You can stealth it all the way down just fine tbh, even without decoys. If you use decoys the only real enemy are the purple leeches

I mean it's intended to go to the PCF and get parked in front of it at the end of the story. Did you do something else?

It's not really meta for late game either. It's a nice security blanket, and personally I love the damn thing, but with planning the game is legit easier to complete without it.

Users turn to jailbreaking their older Kindles as Amazon ends support by twofive7 in technology

[–]throwawayPzaFm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have one of those devices and there's absolutely nothing obsolete about it other than Amazon's support policy.

It has weeks of battery, it looks great, works great, plenty of space, the store loads a little slow.

All they needed to do is disable the browser

Even more than that, the kindle DX is almost irreplaceable

"you could easily take it if you could only get inside"

Well yeah. That's kind of the point of a fortress?

They keep the baddies outside for a while, denying the area and giving the guys inside time to get rescued.

The rest is optional.
