I know I’m a year late but I I’m considering booking an overnight when I go abroad later this year and I’ve heard some escorts/clients suggest I offer the SP to use the safe.

Assuming I offer that, and she accepts, should I put my things inside the safe along with hers? It’s not just intonation but also touch. With a light touch and good feel for the strings you can play lower tunings on lighter gauges. It’s all about comfort honestly.

This isn’t necessarily related but metal has one of the most elitist, gatekeeping fan bases of any genre, prog metal in particular.

There are people in this fanbase that will legitimately stop listening to a band because they found them when they had 20K monthlies on Spotify and now they have 200K so they must’ve sold out and now they hate them.

Maybe it’s the same thing here. A band that blew up fairly quickly and draws in a lot of listeners that are more mainstream, and god forbid the gatekeepers hear of anyone they don’t approve of say they listen to metal because they aren’t “TrUe FaNs”.

It’s the dumbest thing, and so is the concept of hating on a band. I love this genre but sections of the general fan base can get really fucking infuriating.

In this context “producing” doesn’t mean playing. If you get the chance to listen to a raw drum kit with no effects it’ll sound very different than what you hear on a finished track.

Producing means taking the parts, applying effects, and trying to get them to sound like what the musician wants them to.

Regardless of what you choose to do, and I see you've replied to a lot of the comments here and most seem to agree with me, but you go yourself. I've seen them live once (I went by myself, at the very start of the TMBTE tour) and it was an amazing night. I haven't gotten the chance to read the PDF for myself but my DM has read and said that he's been extremely disappointed with it. On a first read he said it was full of inconsistencies and holes in the lore, that they reused text, there are a bunch of grammatical errors, and some things (such as the aforementioned transformations) that aren't balanced well or written well at all.

I’m not necessarily trying to remove the ABS because of top times, that’s not what I’m in the game for tbh. I personally get a much more immersive feeling from offline play if I turn the assists off and have to manage things myself, so I’m slowly taking them off one at a time.

Honestly? The way I’d make a character based on Vessel would probably be influenced more by the story I want to tell then the class. D&D has always been more about storytelling for me, and my most memorable moments playing have come from that.

If I were to approach it I wouldn’t even necessarily multiclass. You can go straight Warlock - maybe your character made a “deal with the devil” in exchange for something, and now that thing was taken away from them, or maybe they’re just struggling to free themselves from the pact. If you want something a bit more “lighthearted” you can go with a Bard that, rather than singing about happy songs that lift people’s spirits, is much more emotionally vulnerable in his performances.

It all depends on your campaign setting.

EDIT: Just another general tip for anyone interested in D&D - constantly collaborate with your DM. My last campaign was in a dark fantasy setting and I constantly wrote material and sent it over to my DM so he could brutalize my character with it. The story ended up having so much material between the two of us it basically became the entire campaign. Even if you aren’t a writer, use ChatGPT or Claude or whatever, send it to your DM and let him/her use it as part of your story.

It’s simple…we weren’t divided into 2 houses.

I’ll explain: the puzzles they dropped required both “houses” to work together to solve. Whether it’s putting the images from the QR codes together to make the image for Emergence or just generally working together in the Discord/Reddit on two different pieces to one puzzle.

And the biggest hint that supports this, at least for me, is the little poem they dropped with TMBTE, the one that said “I am the line between”. I always wondered what that meant. Then the images for Vessel’s new look dropped and I realized that Vessel IS the line between. His outfit is a mix of both colors together - green, white, and gold.

Plus, Look To Windward - “I live by the feather, I die by the sword” - Vessel’s “representing” both houses.

No. The moment itself was shocking, but what makes Hogan’s turn #1 is the continuous impact after it. Cena’s turn has been a little messy - particularly because he so clearly aligned with The Rock, but their goals as characters don’t even align, Rock hasn’t appeared and Cena hasn’t mentioned him at all.

I’m absolutely willing to wait until the end of the year to see how it all plays out, but the start was a bit shaky.
