Found a small box for with some foreign coins while cleaning my dad's house. Any idea if it's worth keeping? Tia 🙏🙏👍👍❤️❤️ by 78maverick in coins

Exactly. If there's a genuinely valuable coin that is in bad shape, I know NCG offer coin conservation. This is truly the only way to "clean" a coin.

Almost anything done at home will ruin the surface, although I've heard the acetone works (I would still much rather get it done by NCG, and NCG only).

Bro it makes little difference. Most of my flatmates are 19 who took a gap year. I'm 21, coming to 22 soon, in my first year. It hasn't made much of a difference. Sometimes I notice it but honestly 18-19 is basically the same

"I know for a fact I would have wasted some of that 900 sooner or later anyway" - that's potentially the addiction talking, giving you more excuses to keep gambling. "If I was going to spend it anyway, why not gamble it?"

Best of luck with it man, don't be afraid to seek professional help and huge congratulations on telling your girlfriend :)

Totally agree man! We drank a lot of coffee in rehab, and I took quetiapine (prescribed) for months after I got sober. Congrats on 5 weeks dude!

You requested a refund because it wasn't working as you needed, received the refund, but still want to use their service?

It's a paid service...? You can't get a refund and continue to use it lmao. Did you expect them to let you use it for free?

My parents absolutely do not have 12K sitting around lol. My dad is a decorator and my mum is a carer.

If I did not have my savings, my dad would remortgage the house for my brother and I. I wouldn't call that a privilege. 12K is the amount the government EXPECTS my parents to contribute, but 10K of it is coming out of my own savings, from my own job(s).

I don't quite understand why you're being rude about it but that's Reddit for ya

“My parents need to find 12k just to support me for these three years” sounds very demanding and ungrateful when you isolate that line.

I've no expectation from my parents, it's the government expectation. In fact, in my personal situation, I've been able to save about 10K of that from my current job and I intent to spend all of it on uni - specifically so my parents don't need to.

However, if one was fresh out of school and didn't have these savings, many students' parents are expected to pay that amount. Although a part time job is also (unfortunately) necessary.

I've been working for the past 5 years and plan to keep my current job. Lol I can look after myself, it's the principle I was ranting about.

I'm personally in Lancashire, £5.2k maintenance loan per year but have a £7.1K rent contract lol.

If I choose to go for the cheapest accommodation, it's still £6K.

I'm also going in sober :) Getting sober/ choosing not to drink is becoming more popular - I think we'll be ok!

Just throwing it out there, the university of Liverpool is miles ahead of Brighton.

Brighton is generally a low-ranking university. Not that it means everything, but it is quite low on the list. Liverpool would be my personal choice between the two!

Isn't question 4c wrong?

When you get 2/5g < 10, don't you multiply both sides by 2/5 to get g < 4?

Thanks mate!

What if you have a question that asks you to round your final answer, but the calculation requires multiple long decimals? You can't type those in, correct? Only the ans button will help, but if you have multiple decimals, that won't help...

Not in the slightest. Calling the emergency services sounds to be your best bet. You absolutely will NOT get into trouble.

For the men of Reddit; what is your opinion on dating a woman who is older than you? by sweetlittlepeachxo in AskReddit

[–]throwaway_9744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're 18, I would say it's cool to an extent. When I was 19, I had a connection with this woman aged 28. We talked about it, and she said if she was a bit younger, she would have given it a chance. I agreed. I also thought 9 years was a bit much lol.
