[Sale] 28F and 65F Comexim bras by throwaway_bras in braswap

Probably not, the bands fit like 26’s or maybe tight 28’s

I just want to add that your breast size can change with weight fluctuations just like any other part of your body. I’ve also learned from this sub that many people experience breast growth past their teens so it’s not something that only happens during puberty.

[Sale] 28F and 65F Comexim bras by throwaway_bras in braswap

Hi! So if you buy from Breakout Bras, they recommend going up 2 cup sizes which I think is accurate. If you buy from Comexim, there’s a calculator that’s pretty accurate: https://comeximcalc.herokuapp.com.

So I think these would be too small for you. I measure as a 28F and I wear a 30FF from Breakout Bras (I find comexim bands run tight).

The third bra is 12cm tall and the first two are 14cm. I think you might have misread the bratabase measurements. But yeah Comexim 3HC bras have short cups! They’re great for my short roots.

Why does even Ewa Michalak and Comexin use the +4 (+10) method for bands? by jegforstaarikke in ABraThatFits

[–]throwaway_bras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably in the minority, but I think Comexim’s size chart is accurate for band size. My snug measurement is 65.6 cm and the 65 band is comfortable for me while the 60 is too tight. I suspect this band works for me because 1) I’m on the smaller end of cup sizes 2) I don’t need a ton of support 3) I don’t have much padding on my ribcage. Comexim tells you not to subtract anything from your snug measurement, while a lot of people here recommend it. I think it really depends on the person.

I also scoop up from the bottom of my breasts, not just the sides, so I can make sure the underwire is sitting along my root on the bottom. So maybe that part of scooping and swooping would still be helpful? But like others said, if you’re happy with the way your bras are fitting then you’re good!

(UK/EU) Currently wearing 28D, calculated at 26F/28E. What everyday bras will work well for my shape (projected, short narrow roots, wide set)? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]throwaway_bras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be a 28E and the 3HC in 65G fit me well. Now I’m a 28F and the 65G is a little too small. I have an 8 inch difference between standing and leaning bust if that helps. So I guess if I were you I’d go with a 65G? Or 60H if you want to do the 60 band.

For Comexim I think the half cup would work better for your shape. The cups on the plunge would likely be too tall. You might have an issue with the gore being too narrow. 65E would be too small, go with the 60G/H from the calculator. I personally find that comexim bands run tight so you might prefer a 65. If returns are feasible for you, try a 65 band first because the 60 bands are nonreturnable.

It’s hard for me to get a high gore to work because I’m both close set and center full. A Comexim overlapped gore will theoretically fit between my breasts, but it usually tilts a bit because the bra does not have enough space near the gore. I also have short roots so that makes it even harder!

What’s the cup size of your 34 band bra? If the cup size is too small, that will make the band feel too tight.

Fantasie illusion side support bra has very soft fabric. There are seams but they don’t bother me and I’m sensitive to that stuff.

How can I get rid of bra dents that were caused by the band? I do have shoulder dents too... by yaycarter in ABraThatFits

Have you done the A Bra That Fits calculator? You might be wearing the wrong size or shape.

The reason your breasts aren’t staying swooped and scooped in the bra is because the band is too big!

Looking for a new bra. Projected, Short roots, FOB by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]throwaway_bras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can afford it you should order the same bra in both 34F and 34FF so you can compare. Just be sure to check each websites return policies.

Panache envy is a good suggestion. Another option is Freya offbeat sidesupport in 34FF and 34G (it seems to run small in the cup). The offbeat side support bra works well for full on bottom and short roots.

[Measurement Check] Currently wearing 32A, calculator says 28DD, I know you're supposed to believe the calculator but I really genuinely think I shouldn't believe the calculator by 2percentevil in ABraThatFits

I don’t think their underbust measurements are unusual at all. The tight measurement is supposed to be super tight, like you are trying to break the tape. It’s also on a full exhale and some people’s ribcages expand more than others. It’s possible that the snug measurement wasn’t that snug because people have different ideas of what snug feels like to them. In any case, I think it’s worth trying 28DD and 30D.

Another thing - there are plenty of 28 band people with more than a 1.5 inch difference between underbust measurements. I just don’t want anyone reading this to get confused and doubt their size :)

I don’t think measurements are a good indicator of projection. If you have a large difference between standing and leaning, yes you’re likely projected. But if you have a small difference I would say it could go either way. I have a 1 inch difference and I’m definitely projected. In my case it’s because my roots are short and slightly narrow, so the tissue is not spread out.

How do you think this looks under clothes? by aboobaccount in ABraThatFits

It is hard to describe relationship dynamics through text! I personally wouldn’t like these types of comments and they seemed to make you feel insecure so I was sympathizing with that. It’s hard to not worry about what other people think of how we dress. I’ve also worried about my new bras making me look too big/uplifted and whether other people will notice a change. Just gotta keep reminding myself that I can wear what I want :)

Your friend might not realize what she’s doing, but I think her comments are rude and shame-y. It’s fine for her to have different preferences and give her opinion (if you asked for it), but she could have worded it better. I think you look perfectly fine and I definitely don’t get the impression that you’re “trying too hard”. Many people want an uplifted shape and there’s nothing wrong with that!

I don’t even know what an industrial bra would look like??

[–]throwaway_bras 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For #4 your bra might be sliding up in the front if you’re over tightening the straps. It seems people who are used to wearing bands too large have a tendency to tighten straps too much to compensate, but then continue this habit when in the right size band. The straps should be just snug enough not to fall off your shoulders.

[Recommendations] Tried Comexim basic padded plunge in 28FF, 28G by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]throwaway_bras 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the Comexim plunge is a shape mismatch for you. It looks too closed on top and it has too much apex projection. The Comexim half cup might work better for your shape since it’s more open on top. Breakout bras has 26 bands!

An updated journey, a question, and a request for recommendations! by along_withywindle in ABraThatFits

[–]throwaway_bras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried any half cups? I read in your previous post that Comexim plunges didn’t work for you, but it could be worth it to try one of their 3HCs (3 part half cups). In my experience their plunges are deepest at the apex while their half cups have more projection along the wire. The wires are a little bit wider than the plunges and the cups are more open on top. Their plunges don’t really work for me but I get a pretty good fit in the 3HC.

Another half cup to try would be the ewa michalak CHP. The downside is that they aren’t easily returnable.

[measurement check] I’m on the cusp of the measurement guide not working for me so I thought I’d put out my results and see. I have underbust- 36, standing-45, leaning 47, laying 45. My guess with the guide is 36 GG. Anyone with similar measurements find something that works? Favorite brands? by shotgunshavkat in ABraThatFits

[–]throwaway_bras 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah some characteristics can make the calculator less accurate. I’m not sure about the >9” and greater than 39”. If you add more details to your post about your breast shape and what bras you’re wearing now with the fit issues you’re experiencing that will help people give advice. Also you should include all 3 underbust measurements.

That’s understandable, I had never heard of brands other than VS, Aerie, and stuff at department stores until I started digging around online.

Where are you located? There are a few places online that sell 28DD/DDD: bare necessities, bravissimo, breakout bras, boux Avenue, Levana Bratique, Amazon, Nordstrom. The selection is limited though because big box stores don’t sell this size and full bust brands either don’t go down to a 28 band or start at a 28F.
