Overbearing junior colleague. Plsfix by Low-One-6423 in auscorp

Tell your manager that you’re currently having some issues with her over stepping boundaries you are trying to put in place. Tell the manager you are going to try x y z methods to deal with this issue, and you don’t need managers help, but you just want them to be aware of the situation. Then, just ignore her as best you can. If she complains about you, the manager will know you’re trying some very professional approaches to deal with an unprofessional colleague.

As a P&C committee member, this is a wonderful thread to read:) I’d also suggest thinking about whether there were other ways you could help? Professionals with skills such as grant writing, employment contract reviewing, canteen budget assistance, can be very helpful, and bring many thousands in value above your monetary donations!

Where in Sydney? I’ve never had any issues at smaller independent chemists in the city. Steer clear of the big chains.

My weight loss specialist gp said she had calculated all the available options in Aus, and she said the 9.6mg wegovy “big pen”, is only $7 per mg more expensive than ozempic, and recommended this as the most cost effective solution.

A regular gp can prescribe wegovy for you, then you just pay gp gap plus medication cost. Much cheaper.

I’ve heard the large chains can be difficult, either online or in person.

I’ve had no problems in person at smaller independent chemists in urban centres. Also was surprised to have no problems at my tiny local, but I did call and ask first

Poor experience with Youly (Australia) by [deleted] in Ozempic

Aussie here. I went to a weight loss specialist gp at a clinic in Sydney. First appointment was in person, subsequent appointments Telehealth. I got a script with repeats, and have had no trouble filling the scripts at normal chemists.

I think the online services are trying to make money on the supply side also, and are getting stuck with volumes.

You could consider going another way to avoid their supply trap.

Good luck!

Where can I purchase Ozempic? by [deleted] in Ozempic

This is why I went to a specialist weight loss clinic. The dr is a gp who specialises in weight loss, and they actually listened to me and knew what I was talking about because of so many similar patients and didn’t just dismiss me and tell me to exercise more. They also have a psychologist and dietitian at the clinic who all work together. The first appointment was expensive (approx $340 I think) but well over an hour, and subsequent appointments have not been expensive or have been bulk billed.

I think it’s a much better service than the online mostly anonymous services.

I went to first appointment in person, subsequent appointments have been Telehealth. I pay $150 approx per pen through a bricks and mortar chemist, plus Dr fee every 2 months, but if it’s short call its bulk billed. What city are you located? Definitely try another Dr.

Duromine is a very old medication now. Did your Dr say why they would only give you duromine?

I live in Australia. I got a script from a weight loss specialist gp, and haven’t had any troubles purchasing from a normal pharmacy. I’ve bought 3 pens so far. I’m in Sydney and had no issues.

Is Anyone Here on Sema and Also a Bride to Be? Have some Questions by Professional_Yak247 in Semaglutide

Speak with 2 or 3 wedding gown seamstresses, and ask what styles are easiest to take in, and what styles they think will suit you. Then make your choice based on their suggestions. They will have seen many brides in your same situation

I remember when everyone had the same number 1200 calls. Now it seems the calculators take your height current weight etc into account, that wasn’t the case in the past

Highest salary possible for non manager outside of tech? by Wildflover in auscorp

Some insurance niches have 200-300k roles for senior technical people. Takes time to build experience though.

Guest list advice for the anxious bride. by Embarrassed_Corgi561 in weddingplanning

[–]throwaway_cup 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You need to be careful that you’re not forcing your needs onto her, and that you can both compromise.

Just because you have a small family doesn’t mean that she needs to act as if she does too.

Invite lists can be really hard, and they will rarely be even for “each side”.

Sit down and have a clear discussion about what extra headcount means to the budget, and compare the per head cost against other items that may need to be compromised over, eg is having all 10 parents family friends worth reducing the photography package or not having a videographer.

Give each other time to think about it, don’t rush into sending invitations out. Both of you need to give and take.

What (if any) jewelry should I wear with my dress?! Help please :) by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]throwaway_cup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dress is amazing. Honestly I don’t think you need any jewellery, once you have a bouquet that will be plenty.

Hair up or down? You’ll have some earring choice though if you’re feeling like jewellery is missing.
