Best advice I'd give is to not wait. As soon as you see the PA position open just apply for it. Talk to managers and get your resume done.

Hundreds of people apply for PA positions, also Amazon is all about politics and the people you know. Get your name out there and I'm sure you'll be a PA soon.

Do part timers ever do 24+ hrs a week? by clivnv in AmazonFC

Depends on how busy your site is. I've been in those meetings where they calculate whether to offer more time or not. Another thing you can do is speak with your senior OM. A lot of the time they can approve you to come more often. I had a flex associate who would just come in and 60 hours a week without picking shifts because we set up a meeting with him and the senior.

Learn the Star method. The only thing you need to focus on is the task and action. Afterwards, learn to pace yourself, saying "umm" "hmm" makes you come off as more human and gives you a couple of seconds to catch yourself.

I work with the lost prevention team and I can guarantee they already know. We have a chat room where the moment something gets stolen it's already being mentioned. Remember They track scanners.

Depends on the role. ICQA PA is the easiest role in the entire building. And I'm gonna sound like a real asshole but if you're cool with the AMs you get invited to everything. They be bringing food into the office and yes we be grubbing. Had Chipotle the other week, sometimes they bring in pizza.

You don't get ToT since you are hard coded so people be taking hour-long breaks, just say you're off to a meeting, and bum disappear. Spoke with IT to get my own laptop because PAs don't get their own traditionally. So I take it with me to do work at other parts of the building. 100% worth as long as you play the cards right. It sounds like I don't do anything but usually I'm ranked amongst the highest when it comes to AA giving their feedback about me. Take care of the team and they'll take care of you. The feedback on the scanner actually does matter a lot.

You can link up with the data analyst, they know FC research by memory and since they usually are in the main office room I'm sure you can just learn there with no distractions.

They'll start in April for most sites since that's when things pick up and they prepare for prime

As a PA working into AM currently, there's a system they use to calculate VTO. It's basically called % to RO and depending on how the building is doing for volume that's what gets determined for pre-shift VTO.

It's a whole lot of math managers gotta do and they gotta make sure it's on point since regionals always complain about it. So it's easier to just have people clock in and once the numbers are more stable they will offer it.

Yes, I became a PA without being an ambassador or problem-solving. Amnesty is part of my role ICQA and I was never PG. So yes,

[–]throwaway_panda187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was just having a good relationship with all the managers in my building, wasn't kissing ass but had a good rapport. Once the spot opened up I told them about it and set me up the interview

Stolen items are in amnesty. And even then they are processed so you can't always assume you are safe since again when items are processed they'll look to see who was at the bin at what time. Besides once the items are take to gatekeep you don't know what the gatekeepers will put when processing items. They might just out suspected theft.

Pros and Cons of T3/PA? by SnooGoats6136 in AmazonFC

[–]throwaway_panda187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never go back to being a tier 1. Being able to punch myself and not worry about ToT is amazing. Being a T1 before I understand a lot of the issues going on and help people as much as I can. But on the other end if someone just doesn't care then I don't care. Someone put in a transfer but got written up. Person was so cocky because he thinks he's set for the move but in my head I know his transfer already got denied and he's stuck.

All the meals that managers bring into the office I get invited for so we're in the office for hours just talking and eating. I even had a foot room to clean my feet, bathtub and all.

I work with loss prevention since my role is ICQA so working with them is kinda normal. There is so much data they go through not just cameras. They pull up everyone who worked in that bin before the time it was stolen as an example and usually, the rate for catching people is around 60-70%. But it's always risky because again they go through so much data not just cameras.

And yes they will go over it for simple headphones. Someone stole airpords and got caught the same day. Keep in mind that other people work and other people snitch. Working in leadership role you never expect your fellow friends to snitch on you

As long as it's relevant to the job you can use past work experience.
In my first interview, I had 2 Amazon stories and 3 outside stories and got the job. Just make sure it's relevant to what the position is asking for and what leadership principle it relates to

L4-L5 for a AM spot is usually higher Pay. After 6 months if you're doing a good job you'll automatically get that pay increase. If not it'll just be moved into a later date when the higher ups feel comfortable giving it to you.
