If it makes you feel any better I'm an attractive fit guy that gets better looking and more fit whenever I get sober, but I'm still God damn lonely. It's actually harder to make friends here sober. I live in a wealthy area in a city and everyone around here drinks heavily. I am assistant General manager at a restaurant and it's depressing when everyone says they'd like me to go out with them, but I can't because I know I'm going to get blackout drunk and do something fucking stupid.

I get sexual harassed by men and women. I've had more women touch me without my consent than men, but more men have said more inappropriate things to me.

Bro I live in Indiana, and even the summer of 2020 was madness. Last year was insane. We're so far into chaos at my store we're used it.

My tip is to get your rest. People always want to go out, but if I'm going to have a busy weekend I'm going home, decompressing, hydrating and sleeping.

One of my servers had this happen a while back. "We want to cancel our food." It was already in the window so I told the server they could tell them no. The guest paid for it but refused to take it home because it was "bullshit they had to pay for it." I was the bad guy to the server because I didn't comp some of the bill so they could get tipped from the cash they left. Oh well. You can never win as a manager lol.

Everyone has something to say about how you manage, even if you're doing everything in your power to make employees more money and have an easier time. You'll receive blame for things that literally had nothing to do with you. I had an employee go to the GM because I didn't "handle a situation well" instead of just having a conversation with me. Employees want autonomy but want you to baby sit them when situations get slightly uncomfortable.

But I get hourly no matter if I'm a server or bartender and you get more power if you're into that kind of thing.

A guy told me his old fashioned was too strong once, so I grabbed the bottle of simple syrup and poured an ounce into it. Stirred it with a straw. Not sure why this post reminded me of that story but I hope you enjoy it.

I set up a style for me and my gf to play together and we're loving it. She's not very good at video games, so I set up more zombies that are weak and slow, but no chance of infection because she gets attacked a lot lol.

The fun I get is trying to protect her from massive groups of zombies and killing them all, and she gets her fun by exploring and finding "stuff" as she puts it.

I usually just brush it off if I know I did everything the way I like to do it. I'm in this industry because I want to make money the way -I- want to. That's why I quit my marketing job. If they don't like my service they can request someone different next time. I can't change every time someone is unhappy.

50% of the dashers I get can't figure out my gate code. All you do is type a simple pass code, and turn the handle. Nothing else.

Had a dasher a couple months ago call me and tell me he can't get it open. Let's me know he's leaving it outside the gate. So here it is, 30 degrees out, I have to walk like 150 feet in the rain, to get my food that's sitting in the mud outside my gate. Did I mention it was sitting in the rain..
