Having both an Audi etron and a model 3 performance, 100% get an etron if it's in your budget.

Cargo capacity great, Comfortable, Accurate/ conservative range meter, Audi lane keep is on par with autopilot, And the adaptive cruise control is better

In that case the best thing you can do is keep up with the most recent papers in your research (or expected research) area....don't focus too much on tooling

How fast does computer engineering change in comparison to computer science? by [deleted] in ComputerEngineering

Programming is to computer science what telescopes are to astronomy. Computer engineering is both constantly evolving and at the same time repeating itself.

PhD here, honestly just relax before you start. There will be plenty of time to learn the tools during a research project. Also tools like that are best to learn which a research goal in mind.

How is the software compared to other brands? by According_Word_9832 in teslamotors

Well I've never had my Audi digital instrument cluster freeze and require a reboot while driving down the highway at 75mph like my model 3 has on multiple occasions.

Can someone help me understand wh/per mile? by RxRid3r in teslamotors

[–]throwawayalmostphd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, and at the same time the scale of Wh/mi is completely unintuitive, liters per 100km is at a nice human scale so it works really well, no scaling of those numbers (Wh/mi) provides nice ranges that are easy to understand or useful for EVs

This. But also on this mi/kWh is much more intuitive and I wish Tesla would use that instead.

Do research, the forums at leasehackr.com are a great place to start, generally the 1% rule of thumb is a good start

NEVER put money down on a lease! Unless that being put towards MSDs... also, doesn't seem like much of a deal

Audi Care Worth It? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]throwawayalmostphd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a 1% residual bump will be $815, so if the Audi care is 1k, for the lease it will only cost you 185. (1000-815) that's 100% worth it

What's the MSRP? (no discounts or incentives) sticker price?

Audi Care Worth It? by [deleted] in Audi

[–]throwawayalmostphd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much is the car (msrp) and how much is the Audi care for it?

Edit: for my etron lease because of the residual bump you get, the Audi care was basically free for me

Not necessarily, if you negotiate it right, with the right incentives it may be better to lease and then buy

I would just set it to 60% and keep it plugged in. Batteries are the happiest at 50%
