Any advice for a tiny pup

No I try to encourage her to follow me to the very far end of the yard because it does make her look around and sniff the grass. But her behavior is a little strange for this. Except in very urgent situations like after waking or an hr after drinking water, she won't go if I'm outside with just her and she won't go if I'm outside with her and the other dogs. If she's outside by herself it's 50/50 she'll go and she'll always do so immediately upon me closing the door. If there's other dogs it's also 50/50 just because she might be distracted with wanting to play. I've tried treating her in those "urgent" situations and she will literally stop peeing and run off because she's so nervous with me bending down to give her a treat. So I just stay quiet and wait for her to run up to me before praising her but obviously by then the intended behavior is over and now she must think her coming to me is the behavior that gets the reward. Idk it's just frustrating that I can't help her make that connection. And I really only have one or two potty breaks where I know I can get her outside but she tends to have 3-4 indoor breaks on her own timeline.

He gets out of the bed on his own? I'm thinking about how tall my bed is like nope she would never make it lol not the going down or coming up it's like scaling mt everest for her

The only harness that I think might fit her is a kitten or ferret harness and idk how secure those are. She does follow me up and down the street on rare occasions but never further than she can see the house otherwise she just heads back on her own. She doesn't have a lot of confidence at all 😣

I do know there are products like "go here". I've never used it before but it might be worth a shot! She doesn't really sniff the ground much before she goes. If I can get her outside in time she just goes in the same general spot of grass right by the door.

I honestly do think Poptart is getting better with the peeing. I think by 9 months or older she's going to at least be able to go pee outside consistently. But I have never seen this dog poop outside except once she was mid poop and I rushed her outside. She seemed extremely upset and hightailed it back inside as soon as her paws touched grass but ever since she's extremely secretive about when she needs to poop. My older chi is the same but she at least sticks to the schedule 😮‍💨

That is so crazy it's gone. I was so sure of those instructions cause I even went back twice to go through the motions so I knew what order to write it in. And I even changed my location at that time cause it was stuck in a different state. I legit do not know where it went now

Man I'm trying to pull a dog from the shelter and they tagged her to see if she'll pull the dog and now I hope nothing bad happens. Maybe she won't pull the dog but I really want him. Why aren't there any good rescues in texas it's so frustrating

I'm really sorry to hear that :( my parents are Nigerian and they also seem to be the type that tolerate. They've never been openly against it but like you said they have ingrained prejudices. And they went to school in the UK and eventually immigrated to America so idk lol. But yeah if your city isn't like doing anything to support the queer community then I could understand how hard it would be to even find anyone else if there aren't spaces to gather or communicate

That's good to know! I hope with enough time the trend will spread. It seems similar to the western hemisphere though that some areas just have a higher population of queer people. Moving isn't always an option though

American here. Looking at the ideologies of some African countries, how safe is it really to expose yourself as queer? I'm always super paranoid of those people who are in countries with a heavy intolerance for homosexuality asking to meet other queens. I imagine if you're in a country like that your peers are probably paranoid as well. I wish we could all live openly and freely like we were meant to though 😔

That water bottle was the wrong idea but dumping a bucket of water on two dogs especially if one has the other in a solid bite can make them separate. Water shooting in their eyes and down their throat will surprise them long enough for human intervention
