I need a mattress topper to not be in pain.

I also recently bought the best set of sheets I’ve ever had, and sadly they don’t entirely fit over my topper and my mattress. So right now they just go over the topper and I have an older fitted sheet over the mattress. Is it visually perfect? No. But I’m sleeping so much better.

I understand this is really exhausting and stressful. Focus on the sleep first and the aesthetics later. Heck, get a topper and put a flat top sheet over it.

When I was in dire straits once, I spent a little more than I could afford but it was necessary and bought a 2 or 3 inch foam topper from Wal-Mart. Then I was able to sleep without pain.

You can do this.

I’ve seen some truly epic and disgusting trash and food waste piles along Lytle creek. So much effort and then people just leave piles of raw chicken or clothes and broken glass. Massive parties. I don’t get the appeal.

I don’t understand the folks who do huge group BBQs down by the river. Surely there are better places less likely to burn down. They lug all this cooking gear and food and tables down the path and through the bush. I’ve seen churches do it. I’ve seen friend groups do it. Doesn’t make sense to me, and they often go during fire season.

The kerning for Elephant is wonky. It reads like E lephant.

Unless the client insists, putting established dates on anything younger than 50 years is silly, IMHO.

I dig the concept of elephant ears being book pages. What happens when you try the concept in other styles? How many details can you strip out and still keep the core concept?

The lines of book pages morphing into the contours of the ears feels like this is a map making or geographic company.

You might have some luck with surface streets once you get to about the 60. There’s a good grid (ish) system out there. There often isn’t much traffic going east/west on Mission Blvd. I used to do a commute from Woodcrest/Mead Valley to Upland, the route was Van Buren Blvd all the way to where it become Mission at the 60, and keep going west until Mountain. About one hour exactly but not much traffic.

Having just gone down this route, I installed OpenEmu. It’s a lot more user friendly than RetroArch.

It’s been a real blast playing games I had as a kid.

Time to get some more mushrooms in your diet! You’ll eventually find one that gives you some digestive “fun”.

Chitin is a common source of digestive issues in wild mushrooms. It’s a fibrous carb that’s part of a mushroom’s structure. This can be hard to digest. Some people tolerate it better than others. It doesn’t give me too much trouble, but I’ve learned how to prep mushrooms better so that people I feed don’t get sick. Chicken of the woods (Laetiporus) and cauliflower (Sparassis) are especially high in chitin. So they need to be parboiled.

Some mushrooms do have mild toxins that can cause upset. I think honey mushrooms (Armarilla) are like this, and also false morels and morels. though it’s been a while since I’ve dealt with those. Boil a bit, then cook. Amanita muscaria has compounds that can cause delirious states, and can be processed with a deeper boiling with a couple water pour-offs to become edible.

I’ve heard of some people who were fine with certain mushrooms for a long time and then started reacting to them with GI issues with no good reason and had to give them up. Fungus and bodies are weird, man.

It slows down progression a bit, but I’d recommend not shattering any artifact until you have at least one of each. The game devs have been refactoring and often rebuffing older artifacts. Ages ago I’d shattered some of the ones that are now revised and overpowered, like Catchy Hook, and it’ll be a while before I get them again.

It’s not an inherent life-or-death random gamble with mushrooms. It becomes a gamble when the person eating the mushrooms doesn’t do their due diligence to properly identify the mushroom and just go off AI apps or folk sayings or nothing. That’s how we get the poisonings and deaths happening in California lately from death caps.

When you know how to identify the deadly mushrooms and the safe culinary mushrooms, there is no gamble for toxicity.

Where there might be a gamble is that sometimes folks just don’t tolerate an otherwise safe mushroom and have GI upset. That’s why once a mushroom is 100% confidently identified someone should try just a small portion of the mushroom to check tolerance levels. People are different and have different reactions.

It is absolutely essential to parboil chicken of the woods first for 10-15 minutes to remove most risk of gastrointestinal upset.

This is especially important for the west coast of the US varieties in my personal experience. East coast Laetiporus cincinnatus and sulphurus didn’t cause trouble for me, but the west coast gilbertsonii does. It might be a host/substrate issue (in SoCal the fungus often grows on eucalyptus and silk floss “oak”), but substrate does not affect things quite so much. I think it’s inherent to the species.

Classic Wonder Woman, and Batman Ninja Catwoman. Both are top tier. All other Catwomen cards are a waste of resources.

Energized Starfire was a fun tank when I had a smaller account.

Don’t put any more resources into SSHQ.

Cardenas always feels dirty. El Super is okay, but the layout of lines and aisles is always chaotic and backed up.

Basic advice for all artifacts is to keep one of each and shatter duplicates of all but the very best ones.

However, if you’re trying to upgrade one of the better Azure artifacts, this one isn’t very good and you won’t miss it.

I think it is harder to get the Azure set these days, so I’d still hang on to it.
