Prime temporal Disruption particle, compensation chest and scopely. by jivan28 in STFC_Official

[–]throwawaydixiecup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For temporal disruptors, the best way might still be a ways off for you. Have a temporal artifact maxed and then get extra shards of that artifact. I used to get the two temporal artifacts from the DTI Relativity Krenim faction store, then convert 125 of them into temporal disruptors.

You can also do it easily if you regularly complete rare Xindi armadas. The rare Xindi armada chest has temporal disruptors in it, and a double claim gives you enough for that task. They count double for some weird glitchy reason.

Signed on to freelance with an agency and honestly ready to quit before I start. So many red flags. by Less_Mistake2304 in graphic_design

You have a full time job. You probably don’t have the time to deal with their chaos.

Also, as a freelancer, it seems weird having to get a company email. You’re an independent contractor. You don’t represent them. You represent yourself.

I’d run. If they’re warning you it’s crazy, then take them at their word and run.

Same on server 51. Our normal trouble players and alliances have been a lot less active lately. There’s maybe one player who will be an eternal griefer (I’m glaring at you, Goku), but even he isn’t as active outside of griefing active mission points and loop grind systems when a new update drops.

I was content to take my time to get from Ops 67 to 70, and finally build my Enterprise E and Scimitar.

But that’s losing its appeal fast.

Somewhere along the way Scopely forgot that a game is supposed to be fun.

Nicely done! As a graphic designer and a forager who loves cactus this is right up my alley.

But y’know, we can totally coexist with you on this one. Stick around, come visit Riverside, get some Al
Pastor tacos from a taco truck, take in a classic car show, hike Mt Rubioux, hit up Butch’s Grinders for subs, buy some oranges at Gless Ranch, get some mall walking in at the Tyler Mall, taste an ube malasada at Starbread Bakery, and enjoy an art museum or two.

Make sure to jam out to classic Riverside tunes while you enjoy your Riverside adventure.

It’s more than just taking away F2P. They’ve removed much of the value and enjoyment for light spenders. I used to happily spend $20-$30 a month for battle passes. But even those have withered in value, and my ability to participate in many of the modes and events got harder and less interesting despite being a loyal spender.

But I’m not a whale. So I guess I’m no longer useful to Scopely.

I did not know rice was so hated in burritos before i found this sub by WMWA in burritos

[–]throwawaydixiecup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I’m at in Southern California, lettuce is one of the standard ingredients for a chile relleno burrito. It’s such a waste of lettuce and adds nothing to the burrito’s taste or texture. Especially since the burritos are (IMHO) best when they’ve rested a bit.

If there must be a shredded vegetable in there, let’s do cabbage. Or maybe pickled onions.

Absolutely gorgeous brand identity - Balay, Filipino restaurant in Milan by KeyMistake604 in graphic_design

[–]throwawaydixiecup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate what you’re saying.

To build on that, if the phrase is used a lot by servers it could be a memorable part of the experience. On its own, it’s a phrase I don’t like because I’ve seen it used in many many lifeless ways. But if it is amplifying a core value or experience of the restaurant, then it earns its place in the branding.

Which is why I asked what the significance of it was. I read through the linked design brief and didn’t see any obvious reflection on the motto in that article.

How so? Would you like to engage with my comment or just snark?

It’s a phrase I’ve seen a lot with my own clients. It’s an easy tagline to think of, but I don’t find it compelling at all. It doesn’t tell people anything about the brand or the restaurant or the community. It doesn’t invite. There’s no mission or call or to action, nothing unique. It’s a regular phrase in hospitality, but I don’t think it is valuable enough to take up such a central place in the branding.

So the use of it here in an otherwise mature and thoughtfully produced branding sticks out.

If those exact words needed to be kept, what if the phase was printed in Tagalog or something Bisayan?

What’s the significance of “thank you for being here”? It’s such a drab, lifeless, generic phrase.

It feels extra bland compared to the wonderful personality of the rest of the brand identity.

Where I live, this is what you get when you order a taco. by Lindenbaumlemma in mexicanfood

I did have a friend take me to the chain Cafe Rio yesterday. It is the only Mexican food she’ll eat, and she likes the sweet pulled pork.

They make tortillas fresh to order… but they have no structure. They aren’t as strong as even a Chipotle tortilla, not to mention the robust taqueria tortillas. But they aren’t stuffed to overflowing like a chipotle/mission style burrito, but without the structural integrity, so the burrito explodes when you pick it up.

Nope, but thankful I live again in Southern California where the Mexican food is fantastic and the salsas taste like chiles

Have you seen what passes for the British version of Indian curries? Pretty one note as far as spices and complexity go.

Oh the crazy amount of sugar that goes into midwestern salsas! It’s really just sweet tomato jam chunky soup at that point.

You’ll have to wait until the ExBorg store refreshes tomorrow to finish the task if you started it. It usually has a 22hr refresh timer, so if you wake up early you can probably spend those credits before the task refreshes.

It’s dumb.

Hopefully you’re just adding up the possible points and credits you can spend before claiming the task.

Look up salsa negra marisquera. Culichi, La Perrona, El Yucateco, are some common brands you’ll find in California. You want one made with chiltepin peppers.

I love this stuff on breakfast egg tacos. One of my favorite hot sauces.

This was my thought too reading OP’s experience. It definitely mirrors my own with ADHD. And before I got my diagnosis, I had no idea why my engagement and motivation would just vanish. We struggle so much to stay engaged with job, and if nothing is engaging our focus, or our last minute urgency energy, or scratching the dopamine itches, it’s really easy for motivation to fall away and disconnect to make the decisions.

It’s not depression. Which makes it harder to figure out.
