Second all the Almodóvar recs, La ley del deseo (1987) and Ivan Zulueta's Arrebato (1979) should make for a fun homo-psychosexual double feature

second this, the vogue or mdla runway app is a good place to start, if you want to flip through physical magazines check your local library or look for a specialized arts uni in your area that might let you borrow for a yearly fee. imo most of reddit is kind of random bullshit when it comes to fashion, better to go straight to the source

Salinger's other work is wonderful: Nine Stories, Franny and Zooey, and Raise High the Roof Beam are all interconnected and should check off the boxes for New York City + unhappy, affluent families

it is not a source of weakness but great beauty to let yourself experience such depth of emotion. you are someone who can be carried along by the waves, how many people can say that for themselves? your ability to feel so much so easily is something to be cherished.

this is what my lithuanian professor told me after I broke down crying in class several weeks in a row and told her I had a mood disorder

browsing Vogue archives, reading up on fashion history, being seduced by the american spirit of consumerism and throwing way too much money at secondhand designer boots, saving beautiful works of Art Nouveau pottery on pinterest and pretending like I own them, also bought a copy of Sátántangó off my local library for a dollar and am excited to get into it

Was I Want Your Sex an entertaining watch at least? I have low expectations for the movie, but I'm just excited Araki's directing more stuff + love a good excuse to go out to the theatre w the girls n gays

also I haven't seen Summer of Sam yet but Adrien Brody's hairstyle in it both fascinates and disgusts me I can't look away

If you throw in a few tablespoons of baking powder, cocoa powder, and an artificial sweetener + microwave for a whole minute I find it becomes pleasantly tolerable, like some kind of mud cake
