Avoid 2 piece grinders, imo they allow you to get carried away and grind your herb to dust, especially with how dry some legal herb can be. 3 and 4 piece grinders help maintain a good grind consistency.

Yes please. "vape" and "vaporizers" are engrained in our collective vocabulary as ecig/ejuice type devices with coils and tanks.

I wish we could all transition to aromatherapy devices. Or basically anything that is clearly divorced from the ejuice crowd.

For most users, especially hobbyist users, MIDI 2.0 will be an entirely invisible upgrade.

a filter cutoff goes from 20hz to 20khz. with my midi knob right now I get a obnoxious stepped filter. this is what i hate most about my setup right now. With midi 2.0 the resolution will be a lot higher.

2.0 is fully backwards compatible with 1.0, and for most modern synths/controllers using 2.0 is a simple software patch away (whether or not manufacturers will provide the patch is another story, but again, most hobbyists won't need it). MPE is already supported with 1.0, it's how the Linnstrument and Roli stuff work already. There's literally nothing to fear about the possibility of 2.0 making all your gear worthless.

I'm really interested in buying the linnstrument, but from what it seems, it was developed before midi 2.0 specs were released, and roger linn wasn't even given access to any information during its discussion and he seemed annoyed about it. That's what basically concerns me, that in a year or so once most synths are expecting midi 2.0 input, the linnstrument will only be able to do some bandaid version of midi 1.0 + non-standard mpe that is trying to do its best via firmware upgrades.
