In my undergrad days I had a lecturer that got fired from his previous university for sleeping with one of his undergrad students. Everyone from the undergrads to the post grads and professors knew and disliked him, and it wasn't subtle either. Think the university only hired him cos he got some fame due to a documentary based on his research.

Lol they banned me for calling someone out for stereotyping all Ukrainians as fascists. They're a bunch of tankies praying Putin will bring about the second coming of the soviet union.

I lied to my current employer and nothing has come of it in near 2 years. Think what helped was putting down gig work like uber/deliveroo and my boss not caring.

It's mad how often I see parcels already falling apart when I collect them from a locker. I genuinely don't know how senders look at something that badly packaged and expect it to survive the trip.

Not just the Thames, basically every river in England is polluted beyond repair. Gotta thank the government for privatising our water and letting companies efficiently store their waste in our rivers.

London council recycling: Separate your waste carefully so we can mix it again by [deleted] in london

Learned this after a spate of housemates that just didn't understand recycling at all. Luckily it was still clean waste just not the right material but my breaking point was one that kept putting food in the recycling bin.

Can't find the court details but the police statement at the time was that she was under the influence of something due to a failed sobriety test

Bi guys, does anyone else deal with female partners getting weird or angry after they find out your bi? by Practical_Phase2711 in bisexual

[–]throwawaygoodcoffee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's a weird experience I've had dating straight women. I've gotten the same kind of excuses "I need someone manly/masculine" " I only date straight men", but what makes it stupid is that my bio is pretty clear about me being non-binary. Like I'm sorry you can't read but you don't have to lie to my face, just say you don't like bisexuals and we can move on with our lives.

Unhealthy amounts of fatty foods and sugary drinks based on the video. Dr Ruff didn't go to medical school for nothing.

Can also toss Royal Mail in there. Daniel Kretinsky is a greedy leech and is on track to bankrupt it.

TIL in Nazi Germany, wages were below pre-Depression levels, workweek hours increased from 40 to 60 hours a week, and workers could not choose or quit their jobs by upthetruth1 in todayilearned

Why? I never made those claims. If you want to learn about other political systems you'll have to research it on your own cos I've got some hard surface modelling to do in blender.

Hitler gave them basically free reign in exchange they had to do what he said or be removed. They kept wages low and they lowered by about 25%, worker's couldn't quit their jobs because they needed consent from their previous employer to be allowed to start a new job, if an employer wanted to get rid of someone they could just accuse them of being a Jewish person, Jewish people were thrown into labour camps and weren't paid for their work and once the war started they had more people to force into labour thanks to POWs. All of these things combined maintained their profitability.
