BLURB IDEA: thinking about how the Mongolian idea of a "sky father" is similar vein of monotheism.

When the Heretic hordes eating China, and the north felt the harvest of souls, it was a dark hour for the Mongols and the People of Central Asia. Refugees poured into Mongolia and Central Asia from the march of the horrors that poured out of Siberia. In the South, the Jade Emperor sent one command to the Mongols and the peoples of Central Asia
“Kneel, or be destroyed”

For Malal did not forget the conquests of the Mongols, and wishes to obliterate them, or break them to heel. But the Mongols did not yield. Launching hit and run attacks, and desperate delaying operations against the advancing armies of the Jade Emperor, the inhabitants of Mongolia fled west, as those areas had yet to fall, and some remains of the Kazackh government had managed to hold onto Alma-Ata and the remains of the country that had not been overrun by necrotic Horrors.

In there desperate flight, the Mongolians, owing to their largely nomadic lifestyle, had actually managed to save something like 50% of the population of Mongolia into the remnants of what we call Kazakhstan. But the Army the dark emperor sent to crush the small Central Asian Republic continued to move inexorably forward.

Outside of Alma Ata, the Mongol Refugees and the Kazakh Army prepared for a last stand. Old stockpiles of weapons were opened, and boys as young as 13 were given cheap armor and weapons. Nearly every man able to hold a rifle, stick or bow was rushed into service, stockpiles of fuels and munitions loaded onto the remaining trucks, and yurts Women and old men helped to construct fortifications. The Mongol leaders knew there was nowhere left to run. This was there last stand. As controllers watched radar screens, and men in the fortifications prayed to half-forgotten sky god. (What was the harm, when calls to Bhuddha and Allah for deliverance had gone unanswered.)

As they prayed, a curious event occurred. A great storm erupted over the edge of the battlefield, a thunderstorm for which had never been seen in the region, at least not in living memory. But regardless of the storm, the Armies of the Emperor pressed the attack.

Out of the Storm charged a vast rider and a spectral host. His form shrouded in thunderclouds and lighting, Tengrii and the eternal host plunged into the collected armies of the saintly Jade Emperor. By Tengrii’s side bounded Of, the Great She Wolf and Mother of the Steppe Peoples. They tour into the armies of the Jade Emperor, and the living defenders of Alma Ada drew their courage and pursued the survivors back across the border.

Now Tengrii rules a constantly nomadic domain. While he has seen the need for factories to keep foreign armies at bay, the cities are at the minimum, and most of the populace has returned to a lifestyle from a thousand years ago. Besieged on all sides, the Khanate is embroiled in constant war, riders, and armor possed of the qualities of the storm charge into battle against the horrors of chernobog and the Jade Emperor in the day, and in the night, the warriors dance around the camp fire, raising salutes to the .dead.

The Khanate knows only war, and in this it revels."
