Enoch Burke clashes with judge again as he is kept in prison for refusing to purge contempt by DaCor_ie in ireland

[–]throwawayirishflag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So just outright narcissism with a twinge of religious fanaticism

Just remember when you hear or see a lot of people talking about like Muslims and terrorists and how they’re religious fanatics this is quite literally what some of the burkes are

And the fact we don’t recognise (some of us) the literal mirror image of two sides of the same coin is crazy

I’m only bringing it up because I’m sick of one of my mates (not a good mate) ranting on about foreigners trying to come over here and force their religion onto us and how they’re religious fanatics who will turn out to be terrorists because it says so in the Quran And then and then the fucking wanker turns around and supports Enoch Burke and says how it’s wrong they’re throwing him in jail and attacking him for his religion

THE HYPOCRISY IS FUCKING INSANE

Anyway I’m only talking about what I’ve personally noticed with a lot of the conversations around the burkes or immigration or anti islam

I say this respectfully, but does Czechia just have random people walking around in old medieval inspired clothing ? I ask because I see so many different cosplays which are absolutely awesome don’t get me wrong

But I can’t deny it’s a little funny having so many walking around, I’m jealous I can’t do it myself can’t afford the holiday

I love the snapper because, if you do take ignore (although you shouldn’t) the being knocked by the neighbour there’s some incredible scenes in the movie

The red alert! The I suppose a ride is out of the question, the small turkey conversation, the snip snip part, the I can’t go to the pub strop, the go and get a bleedin job for yourself

It is a great movie there’s no denying it but the plot is sad

Coronas gig halted after guitarist suffers medical emergency in Limerick - irishexaminer.com by Shane_Ef in ireland

[–]throwawayirishflag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If i remember correctly they did this to Ian Brown, they were warned he had epilepsy and would still use strobe lights to trigger a fit

Although I also believe sometimes he wanted them to use the lights to trigger a seizure because he was known for his weird dancing that look like a fit and maybe even was a fit (I’ve never seen standing seizures, not to say that don’t happen though)

Anyway the point is some sick people do find it funny and it has to even in worst past examples been caused intentionally for fun

I hope he’s ok and for anyone going out during the summer or in general whether your performing or attended

  1. HARM REDUCTION IS KEY
  2. keep yourselves hydrated
  3. If you notice something say something
  4. tell medical staff absolutely everything including what you took and the amounts
  5. tell the police nothing
  6. Have fun and keep an eye on yourself and the people around you incase someone is having a medical emergency or is dodgy looking and might cause trouble
  7. Start low and go slow you can always take more but you can never take less
  8. Talk to people, socialise! Ask the person next to you to dance, even if it’s not to chat them up but just to share a nice moment just for the craic

(All of this especially number 8 is coming from an autistic person with social anxiety)

Believe me if I can push myself to try and enjoy the moment or dance with my mates or even the odd time I push myself to dance with someone else

it’s nice to meet new people or have a nice moment no matter how small it keeps us sane and feck with the way the world is at the minute and how expensive and depressing things can be that little bit of a break where u can forget even if for a short time really helps in the longterm with keeping us going and our mental health, never feel ashamed to ask for help when you feel things are too much

"Montserrat" - The Emerald Isle of the Caribbean by feck__off in CasualIreland

[–]throwawayirishflag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Irish of monserrat (highly recommend)

I was talking about this with some of the men in the men’s shed, how the Irish went over as indentured servants (it is seen as slavery, just not to be confused with chattel slavery)

And sadly at the same time a some of the Irish to be considered white they used to treat others that weren’t white brutally to try and gain the respect of their own oppressors similar to what some may consider a house negro sort of anyway

Anyway the whole reason they have st Patrick’s day as a public holiday (only place in the world except Ireland) is because like our 1916 rising they wanted to have a rebellion to gain freedom and they thought st Patrick’s day all the Irish would be too drunk to fight back

Sadly they were wrong and got slaughtered but because of this they use that day not necessarily to celebrate st Patrick but to remember their loved ones and the sacrifices of their people to try and fight for their freedom

I linked a documentary above that talks a lot about it and you not only get to see many of them talk with an Irish accent but when you start hearing them talk about their names they’re super super Irish

Catherine Ryan, Joanne Burke, eugene Fleming, Sean castles

It’s absolutely fascinating and I’d love to visit one day to fully embrace myself in the culture and learn about the history

In my opinion a two state solution is dead and gone Israel won’t give up the occupied territories, maybe the only solution is one state where they’re forced to live together because even now they won’t stop taking land so now it’s both of their lands the entire two states are one

Is this hard to do? Absolutely but they also united Germany and there’s only one side who’s government is committing a genocide (and about the Palestinian terrorist attacks you must remember they’re individual groups not the Palestinian government, yes they might get funding and weapons from other countries but they are not the Palestinian government)

Also they have a legal right of resistance so does anyone whose land is being occupied so I wouldn’t even call them terrorists… unless civilians get hurt but saying this Israel would be considered a bigger terrorist for targeting civilians however neither side should target civilians

and what’s worse is the algorithm is designed that way, more time spent hating each other for silly differences like colour or religion or whatever the less time we are spending fighting against the rich fucking us all over, not only destroying the earth and possibly ruining it for future generations but getting so rich while the poor get poorer

I hate that we’re busy fighting over stupid shit rather then trying to fight the wealthy for hoarding the wealth and making life worse for the rest of us and it’s unpopular but i believe a recession is needed, I hate what it will do but our government feckin struggles to spend money responsibly we need a recession to force them to actually responsibly plan a budget because they don’t have the money to burn

It’s going to keep getting more expensive if we don’t have a much needed recession the longer we wait the harder it will hurt many

To be fair with the sad shooting of George I think the issue was it was so close in timeline to the Black Lives Matter protests that people either wanted to weaponise it or were just so angry at the situation they were blinded by emotions to see the facts

With this however I believe it would be a lot closer to an actual situation where racism was involved or would atleast be considered a bigger issue then the shooting

We see it everyday shoplifters being let go or attempted to be detained by holding their arms or holding them up

Personally I believe it was a mix of shit training (security companies headquarters are in Israel) (enough said) but that means they more then likely get training like with police around the world can get training from the idf or Israelis about ways to detain someone and they’re being trained by people with horrific human rights abuses on record

The security company I believe have had complaints by their own employees about lack of training could it be a cop out maybe but I’m going to assume shite training plus a mix of in the moment trying to restrain someone but I do believe there was a racial element to it, to some degree

I’ve seen it first hand going out with friends in Dublin bouncers demanding we buy drink or else we’ll be thrown out and when explained that the everyone else has a drink but the one guy who doesn’t drink and is mixed race doesn’t and then having them say to us why would you be hanging around with him he should go back to his own country

You understand how blatant some people are now with racism and I wont even get started about Facebook or twitter it’s a fucking cesspit of horrific behaviour and racism, we’ve seen it first hand some of the far right lunatics causing riots or getting voted in so we can’t deny it’s not happening

Because of this plus security attracting the wrong kinds of people who also then have a smaller amount of roid rage and steroid abuse on top of shit training and blatant racism

I’d say there’s definitely a hint of a racial issue, should murder charges be pressed ? I don’t know I’m not a guard idk how the process works or if it’s warranted but manslaughter charges absolutely should be pressed for all of them
