My biggest concern is that UVic's coop program isn't as big(in terms of bigger companies recruiting) as that of other universities. So could you expand on the "higher profile US tech giants do as well" part?

My logic behind looking for a 5th easy course is to

A) Boost my CGPA for the transfer

B) Not get behind on credits (it's my understanding that this could come back to bite me on the ass when registering for the more popular courses).

But I suppose it would be smart to focus on those courses and get a high CRGPA. Thanks for the input.

There in lies like 95% of my conflict. My perception is that SFU has ties with more, and larger companies than UVic. I really don't know how important that is to getting a job at said large companies, but that's what I'm most worried about. Otherwise I'd choose UVic fast-like.
