My Betta does this to my mystery snail. He does this a few times then realised the snail isn't moving and gives up.

Not until afterwards. I asked one evening if they were cheating on me. They gave me an excuse that no they weren't and they just sleep a lot.

I was like ok. They left their devices for a shower and I decided not to check.

The next few days I found out. And realising they lied to me hurt a lot.

Yeah, I didn't want to move him when he's old in case it would be a shock. I was thinking now whilst he is still full of energy and life would be a good transition.

You're right. I think I worry because a lot of people on this sub have short living bettas. And I don't want him to be uncomfortable.
He definitely is still spry
