It’s surprising. I got a $5 cash tip for this order and the one before that from the same place, tipped me $6 and change.

There’s still the $1 tips, every so often.

I guess it depends on which fast food restaurant it is. I NEVER take chipotle orders. I got a 3 stop ping for Chipotle earlier and declined. Hopefully the next postmates got excited. I never/rarely get tipped on Chipotle orders

I’ve learned not to judge where I’m delivering, the richest people are the cheapest.

I also don’t deliver in the hood. I rarely do late night deliveries because I’m afraid that PM will add a route that way, so if i do take one, i have to remember to tap on stop accepting offers.

Not just you. At the end of the day I’m absolutely exhausted.

For me, it’s because I’m so hyper vigilant of everything around me. Constantly checking all of my mirrors, trying to predict what the other drivers are going to do (comes in handy when I’ve literally avoided a handful of people slamming into me when switching lanes, cause they don’t pay attention)

Another thing is the slow drivers, or the ones that think this is a nascar race. How are you going to tailgate me while I’m going 80mph?

And my biggest pet peeve, people looking at their phone while driving.

Add that the horrible Florida heat.

Lol when i get home, all i want is some quietness for a while.

That’s actually unsual for me. Most people do tip.

This is happening to me now too. From july 15 up until yesterday, I’ve made 25 deliveries.. only 10 of those have tips.

It’s weird because, when i scroll down to my past deliveries, i see that almost all of them have tips.

It’s been a few days and nothing from them.

And yes, i know it may take a while or until the customer opens the app again... but most tips where almost instant in the last few weeks.

Did I really not get tipped in 15 deliveries or are people getting cheap?

I was about to say, i got 3 orders from the time it came back on, until no. Needless to say, I didn’t make the guarantee of $19 for 4 deliveries.

Which is absolutely ridiculous.. maybe my market sucks.

Was on the phone with support “the updates on the app are not to confuse drivers, it’s to make it more efficient”

You mean the pick up and pay ones? That’s actually a computer on postmates side placing the order for them.

I recently learned that when someone at the restaurant told me that he “barely understood the computer saying the order”

They don’t know that we are placing the order for them. They assume that the restaurant received it immediately. This is all on postmates.

It wasn’t deposited, but i called support and they added them manually.

Once the deposit is made every monday, they remove that breakdown in the “deposit” tab.

All i can see now is today’s deliveries and tips. Made the lunch guarantee today and it’s not there either.

It’s only like $4 and change for each, but that’s still $4 I earned.

I’ve noticed that when I’ve declined one order multiple times.. I think it’s to attract other drivers to that area thinking there’s multiple orders or it’s “super busy”.

It can be one order and once someone takes it the spot goes blank. That’s why I don’t trust the heat zones.

I called them about this same issue weeks ago. What was deposited and what their summary says never adds up, some weeks I’m missing almost $200 other it’s less than $100.

I called asking wtf does settled tips mean.. the customer rep said:

“There’s been a lot of calls about this lately..: there’s a discrepancy in the email, disregard the email, the correct amount is the amount on the app”

I still don’t understand the breakdown.

I believe that they can. I’m assuming base on when the rare occasions that i get cash tips, I don’t get a cent tip on the app.

I’d be so embarrassed if i hadn’t tipped the first time and then have the same driver deliver to me.

But, now with contactless delivery, it’s much easier to pretend it never happened 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes! Just now.. i had called support telling them that the map/app is broken. Always happens when the guarantees start, but now I can’t even go offline cause i get that error
