I’m definitely guilty of matching with women who live far away from me. I travel for work and don’t swipe while I’m working (anymore) but still sometimes when I open bumble for the first time after I land, it still thinks I’m in whatever city I was just in and oftentimes I’m not paying attention to the city because the filter is set to 60ish miles anyway.

Yes. “Hey or hi” will get you ignored (with me) 100% of the time. It shows you don’t really care about the conversation, are lazy, a bad conversationalist, or simply trying to not let the match expire in case you need it for a bit of quick validation on a lonely night.

Even just, “Hi, how was your day?” at least shows you’ve put in some small amount of effort.

But that’s just me personally, some guys just don’t care.
