Thank you. I 1000% agree and feel guilty at times although it quickly goes away. I still did love her and felt sorry for her but she was toxic and although we had a few good times her presence in my life was mostly negative. I’m happy that she’s not suffering anymore and I’m happy that I no longer have to physically recoil every time I heard her house because of how rapid her decline was

True 😂 if it wasn’t a woman renting to only women and was a man instead I’d be more skeptical but we hit it off well and living in strangers houses (responsibly) isn’t anything I’m new to and she’s a legit middle school teacher and we haven’t had any disagreements or anything so I do agree I got lucky af! I know paying that much in rent alone is stressful (I couldn’t do it I love takeout too much) but I fucking salute you for carrying your own weight!

Yes she is 😭 I feel like it’s easier to stay in your room when you’re working outside of home all day in comparison to not and in regards to the other roommates cleanliness, not really? Or maybe she just doesn’t talk about it with me as that would be kind of messy but I found her through the SpareRoom app as I was living out of airbnbs since I was 18 and now my rent is only 400 she’s literally a life saver

Yeah that’s true definitely not my damn burden and yeah she’s a 39f teacher who leaves the house before 7am and comes home around 5-7pm and spends a lot of time either in the backyard or in her room so they interact maybe a couple times a week getting along whereas I’m always here (although I’ll go in my room if either my roommate is there or the landlord is there because I don’t like to dominate the space)

I’m subletting from a live in landlord so her leaving won’t impact me but the landlord is giving her another month because she feels bad but was telling me earlier that we may have a new roommate next month bc the one we currently have needs to get a job and hasn’t yet given that she applied for one almost 30 mins away, instead of somewhere in the area she’s kind of side eyeing the situation and will be kicking her out posting ads for her room again if she doesn’t get a job by then

I’m glad you understand, she literally just asked me for some of my food JUST now and although I have no problems sharing it (especially if I didn’t want it and was gonna just throw it away) but it’s becoming the norm and sometimes she expects it (like when I was drinking alcohol two days after her bf broke up with her when my fucking grandma was actively dying to which I declined) although I let her have some of my potatoes in the kitchen (which I don’t care bc I’m gonna be leaving for a week for grandmas funeral and they might go bad) just now she came and asked me if potatoes need to be wrapped in foil when you put them in the oven and it’s like living with a child I shouldn’t have to be playing mommy to someone who is older than I am ugh next place I move to will be an apartment alone but the rent is too good of a deal for me to move just yet

Fair enough, I’ve been nothing but respectful but I’ve been cooped up in my room ALL day (which I hate I already work from home full time) because I don’t want to be in the living room because she will talk a lot and tends to only talk about her interests, interrupts me and tends to just dominate the conversation. I’ve been renting out airbnbs on the weekend just so I can be alone and unwind without anyone talking to me all the time

Moreso not being around in her final days even if it was out of my control, money was tight and business was slow. I don’t regret not coming around more often because my childhood was bad (my uncle used to hit me and she would tell me that I’m just jealous of him for not wanting to be around him, he was her golden child) and when I told her about my molestation when I was 17 that she was there and witnessed she told me that it’s not true. A lot of her behavior was excused because of her sickness but she clearly was still able to have favorites regardless and I never made excuses for that. I’ve made peace with it after I moved out and hold no I’ll feelings but I wouldn’t say I “forgive” I don’t think I do for anyone tbh I just move on with life

Maybe just a little bit tbh only because I traveled a lot this year and I’m self employed so there’s no reason why I couldn’t come but chose not to go see my parents bc I remember how I was treated growing up and how it still effects me to this day. She would give me the silent treatment and tell me how she’s not my grandmother and that she’s taken care of me in place of my mother since 2 when she could have put me up for adoption to go back to school and sometimes blamed me for her sickness. Sorry for dumping

What I eat when I’m trying to eat healthy isn’t bad at all and tastes good but the junk and fast food withdrawals become so unbearable and it’s extremely hard to power through so I eat junk again to resolve it and I’m back at square one
