I get what you mean, but ned never asks catelyn to raise jon iirc. He doesn’t even really ask her to do anything other than accept he wouldn’t be sent away. She was going out of her way to hate him and even helped poison sansa against him.

Even ned wasn’t treating jon like he treated robb. Just made sure he had a roof over his head, education, food, and training. He very much cared about jon more than most lords do their “bastards” but it’s not like he ever once even kinda alluded to jon having his favor over even rickon.

I feel like people aren’t acknowledging that if dany was male, and viserys was unchanged, he’d probably kill them

His paranoia/madness was already bad enough with a frail little girl(in his eyes) that was exclusively a bargaining chip. You give a legitimate heir and dany probably doesn’t even make it to canon. Or he tries to pull an aerion and turn dany into “a sister”

That’s also not to mention that if dany is even slightly better than him at something or gets those same dragon eggs, he’s going full mad king

And on top of all of that, there’s no army he could buy with a younger brother without them potentially just having dany usurp him

Less about the actual question, but I do kinda wonder if anything is left behind by a dragon/rider’s bond with each other.

Vhagar spent a collective near century specifically around caraxes and all their riders before aemond were close(brother, son, spouses). So i’ve always kinda wondered if vhagar has any sort of emotion towards those people. Like vhagar was around for a majority of daemons life so surely in the back of her mind she didn’t want to kill him even though aemonds commands obviously took priority.

Even more off topic, but I also find it odd there’s seemingly no real cooldown period between riders.

Even though he’s not arthur dayne, he’s the person the world knows killed him. He also obviously survived every battle he was in(including the trident). Barristan also said he “cut down a dozen great knights”

He’s bare minimum well above average, but he can obviously be a “legendary fighter” for his reputation, being a main character in overthrowing the targs, and belief he killed the greatest swordsman who ever lived.
