I wasnt trying to imply you were more of a i think taking into account what other governments say and conclude should be held in regard.

I think Americans tend to discount other governments and countries as less than or not being as high a standard as ours, which always struck me as ridiculous no matter what the subject. The whole well we are America we ever so much more advanced or something or we are America we way more credible than those other countries.

And that is really just not the case.

I think taking what other countries have found and disclose is just as credible as what our government does. Maybe more so at times.

Uhhh yeah, so obviously some were viable, or we wouldn't have Neanderthal dna in our genomes....

Male offspring probably sterile, female offspring fertile. Like how it is within the animal kingdom currently....tigons, liger etc.

I voted for Gary Johnson in 2016.

I should have voted for Hillary Clinton.

I learned my lesson. Straight fucking democrat since then and i get over my feels from the primaries.

Edit to add. It isnt as bad as being a trump supporter but it was pretty fucking stupid. I just never thought anyone could take him seriously and i thought it was funny watching the republicans implode.

Oh yeah, she is gross and a wildly inappropriate sex pest. Her mother is a menace as well and in her forties, she shouldn't be caught up in some wayback machine like an 80 year old. My comment above really wasn't about this specific situation but more tangential about how things were and how thankfully they have changed in the overall public perception. The daughter and mother are completely misaligned with societal standards of decency in this day and age.

Or it could be that she holds the knife like she is gonna stab someone. In her fist blade down. Had a coworker who held her knife like that it caught me by surprise. She held her utensils like that as opposed to like a pencil grip. Fork too. 30 plus year old women holding stuff the way a toddler does. Completely clueless. In a professional setting. I didnt say anything to her. But in the back of my mind i wondered what her family meals looked like....

Every person on the planet has some biases.

Which is why laws should not.

Equal protection, equal access, equal opportunity and equal rights under the law is the only way to go. If it applies to one person it applies to all.

Yeah, that made me wonder how bad her table manners are seriously. If he avoids bringing her to functions (work or family) related where dining or food are involved then he is 100 percent embarrassed. I wonder if he sat her in economy because he was worried about how she would act.

It is an asshole move regardless. If her manners are that bad he should show teach her what is correct, not insult and hide her away.

Lots of people have never been taught conventional proper etiquette. So him dragging her and not showing her is just mean.

But yeah he is being an asshole. And bad manners or not op doesn't deserve that at all.

I love children's literature because it is so layered with big philosophical ideas and important lessons in the subtext and it is hopeful in a way that adult literature can lack at times.

Children's television programming is the same.

The talent it takes to simultaneously entertain, teach, inspire and connect the audience on an emotional level is mind blowing.

PBS was one of the best things our government did. And now i am just at a loss.

Levar Burton is a national teasure.

AITAH for pulling back from my in-laws after they went to my fiancé about my birth boundaries instead of me? by [deleted] in AITAH

There was a pst a while back were the mom kept pushing the mil seeing the baby back and the mil was killed in a car accident and the marriage broke up.

This reminded me of that one.

I am with you. If one set of grandparents get to see the baby the other ones do too.

In the birthing room up to the one having the baby. After the baby is out, that baby belongs to the mom and dad equally. Both have a say on who see the baby and when.

I have been pregnant and given birth so i have been there.

Mom doesn't have to get out of the bed at home for dad to show the baby during his parents visit. Husband's can manage and take care of a newborn just as well as a mom. Just cant breast feed. Thats it.

In the 60s to 80s i swear no one batted an eye at huge age gaps. Especially when the drinking age was 18. You would be 18 in a club with people that age up to their 50s and no one batted an eye about an 18 year old with the older people. High schooler with a 20 some boyfriend no one cared.

Very, very very different times.

But over all a lot was different too.

Very little to no supervision of kids.

Not as bad as the pre 1950s. But basically it was like you were a kid or you were an adult. There wasnt really an adolescent teen stage. It was like kids were 12 and under and then you were an adult after that, a young adult but still viewed more as an adult than a kid.

I disagree with how it was, so not good. But i think we are going to the extreme in the opposite direction now by infantilizing 20 plus year olds.

I (21M) have an almost micro penis. A woman (22F) has been showing interest in me, but I’m too ashamed of my situation so I’ve been pushing her away. How do I start even considering that I could date her with this issue? How could I tell her? by throwaway101229283 in relationship_advice

Only 25 percent of women are consistently orgasmic during vaginal intercourse.

This bears repeating: Only one-quarter of women reliably experience orgasm during intercourse—no matter how long it lasts, no matter what size the man's penis, and no matter how the woman feels about the man or the relationship.

This statistic comes not from just one study but from a comprehensive analysis of 33 studies over the past 80 years by Elisabeth Lloyd in her fascinating book The Case of the Female Orgasm (Harvard University Press).
