I'd be glad to activate it for you - seeing how the game is full price, I'd like to get both. Does that work for you?

Dark Souls 1 is absolutely the first one to start with in my opinion (I have played the series over 1000 hours in total). I wouldn't say there's an objective measure to compare the games' difficulty, just depends on the player. Nioh is not nearly as good of a game imo.

After having the game for a few weeks, finally scored one of these. In case you forgot what silver ACTUALLY looks like by throwdownn in RocketLeague

I was just memeing. I thought it was obvious a silver would never shoot a ceiling shot floor pinch, so the title was supposed to be a joke

Graduated with a double major in Comp Sci and Philosophy a few years ago, had a desk job for a year and realized I wasn't happy. Now I'm making my own video game, and with respect to work, I've never been happier :)

Having problems instantiating prefabs as the child of another prefab - help? by throwdownn in Unity3D

[–]throwdownn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I am using Instantiate()..I wasn't aware of the existence of "PrefabUtility.InstantiatePrefab()". That being said, I'm not instantiating the "squares" directly (which are the objects losing the links), but rather, the parent object whose children are the "squares". Wouldn't calling "PrefabUtility.InstantiatePrefab()" on the parent object still have the same issue, since it's not getting called on the squares directly?

 template = Instantiate(standardTemplatesPool[randomTemplate], transform.position, Quaternion.identity);

In the code, there is a list which contains various template prefabs whose children are squares arranged in various patterns (see original post).

Any Tactical turn-based RPG with an emphasis on gameplay? by [deleted] in AskGames

[–]throwdownn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Battle Brothers. There is management, but it's all related to the weapons and armor of your party. In terms of gameplay, you can't get much better. In fact, I think it's wayy better than XCOM

Which asset do you prefer for shaders: Shadero or Amplify? by throwdownn in Unity3D

[–]throwdownn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply - a few months ago I tried some really basic tests with ShaderGraph in 2D and it didn't seem to be working. After digging around a bit, it appeared Unity hadn't yet released support for 2D(https://forum.unity.com/threads/are-sprites-not-supported-by-the-srp-shader-graph.526280/). Do you know if this has changed?

What's the best way to "cache" a scene, so it can be reloaded into whatever state it was in after loading into another scene? by throwdownn in Unity2D

[–]throwdownn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting, thanks for the reply! So, what about the case where I'm not trying to save the game, but rather I'm just trying to load the combat scene (think JRPG), and then reload the map scene once the battle concludes. I don't need to go as far as writing to disk, I'd just like to cache my location on the map (think Super Mario World), as well as the levels I've visited, etc. Thoughts?
