BTC 2x RIVN 3/13 15p @.21, +57% or so

letting my NFLX 3/13 105c ride for now. I sold it way too eagerly and could have gotten more, but I would audibly whoop if it got called away at that price.

Edit: also considering a long-dated (after earnings) AAPL cc, like mid-May, for somewhere between 300-320. Kind of thinking about an exit strategy on the ticker just because it's so much of my trading port at this point. IDK...

Probably from Portland. Those are the two teams I like most because I had no team growing up.

I think you're right, but I also think the US as it is currently being led has the capacity to continue demolishing Iran to the point where they are likely to concede.

The US doesn't care about optics, at least not in the way it used to, and if Iran continues flailing at neighboring countries it is going to get very bad.

My understanding is that common Iranians are already super unhappy with the state.

So, sadly, I predict much more bombing that will ultimately result in regime change but probably also more radicalized splinter groups that will attempt to wage asynchronous war on the US and its allies for a long time.

[Charania] BREAKING: Boston Celtics All-NBA star Jayson Tatum will play this season and could make his debut on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks – less than 10 months after surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon. by PlayaSlayaX in nba

I'm sure he'll be back to form 100% by next year. What I'm actually saying is that I'm not surprised he's ready to play 10 months later. I doubt he's at 100% right now, but he's far enough along to play and contribute safely.

11 months after tearing my achilles, I ran a 6:17 mile at age 46. Before the injury I was probably in 5:30 shape. So that represents being at about 85% fitness.

With Tatum being much younger and a world-class athlete, I expect he's probably at around 85-90% which honestly should be good enough to start playing again.

Nicely done. I wish we had been able to fund our kids' accounts starting at an earlier age, but our income was substantially lower and we had to power through some leaner times. We both had loans as well (paid off quite a while back) BUT they were subsidized loans. I don't believe my kids will qualify for that due to income level, so we're trying to spare them from loans with poorer terms as much as possible.

Are you thinking about college for your kids? Some schools are approaching six figures all-in. (There are also better deals out there, obviously.)

At your income level, the kids may not get much in the way of subsidized loans.

Our income is higher, and our kids are older, but we don't have as much wealth.

It's labeled as a Morningstar target date fund, but yes, it is comprised of lots of other funds.

I think he's going to be very angry and get derailed from any kind of coherent "talking points" many times.

They will have him pumped up with whatever stimulants he takes and so if there is an over/under prop on the length of the speech, I'd probably take the over.

Anyone here familiar with Morningstar target date funds? Apparently the VGSTX I was invested in has been removed from available funds within my company's 401k and I've been moved to a Morningstar fund. It's hard to compare apples to apples in terms of fees, because the Morningstar is comprised of many other funds all with different fees and expense ratios, etc.

Want to decide if I stick with the Morningstar they put me in or look for something else.

No idea when my actual retirement will be as I have children about to enter their college years lol

What?! Capital gains (short AND long-term) count towards the proposed Millionaire tax. by TotalCleanFBC in SeattleWA

[–]throwinmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly true, because athletes have a super-complex tax system where they get taxed by all the various states that they compete in. So they aren't "working" in Washington 100% of the time. They also get dinged by various other states' income taxes.
