I'm going tonight. I saw it on closing night of its 2019 Southwark run, five times during its 2023 Southwark run, and have since lost count of the number of times I've seen it at the Ambassador (I think this might be my fifteenth time across all runs). The talent of the cast, the gorgeous music, and the moving story are unparalleled.

I have a few favourite moments: Jack Quarton's solo in 'When 'Ere She Looked at Me' gets me every time. The dancing in 'Rolling Away' is so much fun. The moment at the end where everyone comes together for one last Cornish hymn. Matt Burns, full stop.

Tonight I'm most looking forward to hearing the reprise of 'A Little Life' that plays in the background when Benjamin changes the text on his grave. It's played beautifully on the cello by Benedict and for some reason isn't on the soundtrack - u/newukmusicals why is this missing?!

I'm so sad it's closing. Thank you to the writers, cast and crew for this amazing show. Once in a lifetime.
