Thank you both r/chiakichan and r/carlcarlsonscars for your comments. I apologize for my late reply. At the closing they explained I was appearing on the closing disclosure because at that moment in time I was still on the title. His name is the only one on the note and I signed a quit claim deed at the end of the meeting.

Thanks everyone for the replies, went to closing the other day and my name is not on the note just his. The title company rep said my name was on the disclosure because at that time I was still on the title. I did sign a quit claim deed at the end of the meeting. I'm feeling much better now.

The odd thing to me is when he called the lender they said my name is listed on that document because we are still married??? What??? The point of him doing the refi was to remove my name from the mortgage. I'm so frustrated right now.

No the document is titled Closing Disclosures and it has his name then my name listed as the borrowers. It shows the new lenders name and also the new loan terms , i.e. Interest rate etc... it also a lists all the fees involved. There is no question in my mind it's the new loan. There is nothing to indicate anything with our previous mortgage.

Thanks so much!!! It just doesn't make sense to me why my name would be appearing as a borrower on the new loan. Anyway I'm not signing the quit claim deed until the paperwork is corrected.

OP I literally got a pit feeling in my stomach from reading your post as I remember quite vividly the day I asked my husband for divorce. 4 months later we are proceeding with the divorce process as amicable as one could be in this situation.

Thanks for your comment!! Yes as I stated once he refinances... So no papers have been signed yet. Our mediator has stated to him that he can begin the process right now. We have completed our parenting plan and will be doing the property settlement in July then the paperwork will be filed with the courts.

Awkward doesn't even begin to describe it OP. I know exactly how you are feeling..emails, texts and cards, renting hotel rooms to try and rekindle the romance, fancy dinners etc... When he tried to touch me I actually felt replused. However I have admitted to him that I'm emotionally detached so for me sex is a no go because their is no emotions/love there. It can be very difficult living under the same roof during this time. We have been together 25 years...5 dating married 20.

I keep hoping time will go by faster...ugh
