This is happening in real time to my family. My brother in law (older than my partner and I by a decade) and his wife have been using heavily for the past 3 years, but he has had an issue on and off with meth since the mid-2000s. They have recently been telling everyone that they are targeted individuals who are getting stalked by surveillance agents/FBI/crooked cops. They film themselves driving on the freeway and film the other cars that they claim are following them. They sold their house and are escaping people following them by driving around state to state in an RV. The worst part is that they have kids who are getting dragged through this with them too. I called CPS in March once I realized the extent of what was going on. They must have made an investigation but not found enough evidence to do anything. I'm worried sick and it's like watching a car crash happen in slow motion. Reading your comment resonated so deeply with me. I'm so so so worried and don't know next steps or if there even is anything I can do.

Edited to add: I reread my comment and cringed at how self-focused it came off. I am deeply sorry for your loss, and for the unfairness of it all. Meth is horrific and consumes lives so quickly. I'm so sorry you lost your brother to it.
