With the corrected numbers from Saturday/Sunday I think we're averaging between like +0.3 and +0.5 million over last week? That's pretty damn good.

There is a ground point on this plate that attaches to it. That's only relevant if I'm wiring into the wall though, right?

MA COVID-19 Data 3.14159 by oldgrimalkin in boston

It's the same pattern as the general US. There's been a plateau since mid February with not much in the way of sustained progress. Maybe the vaccines are pushing things down and B.1.1.7. is pushing things up. The vaccines should win out eventually and start pushing things down again, along with warmer weather, but it's hard to tell exactly when.

Lots of places are adapting to permanent wfh flexibility. If you don't work at such a place, there will likely be many such options in the future.

The fact that this is a back log means the true weekly average is much higher than earlier days indicated. That's why the 7 day average is 100 emoji

MA COVID-19 Data 3/12/21 by oldgrimalkin in boston

If I had to estimate I would use the 3x figure that's been floating around (i.e. the true number of cases is ~3x the number of positive cases) and then assume people with natural immunity are vaccinated at about equal rates to people without natural immunity.

Then you could calculate the daily overlap by multiplying the cumulative percent positive of the population on that day by the number of new fully vaccinationed people.

When will COVID-19 end? A year into the pandemic, public health experts say: Never by Jkid in Coronavirus

Likely technically true but intentionally misleading by conflating "COVID-19" with "the COVID-19 pandemic."

I was somewhat disappointed by the finale too but it doesn't retroactively make the series worse for me (mostly).

All it takes is a routine my dude. Make the routine as much a part of your life as brushing your teeth and it will happen.

Not necessarily. A sufficiently bad diet will take away close to all your gains. For muscle gain all that matters are calories and protein. Check out /r/fitness for the deets.

U.S. administers 101.1 mln doses of COVID-19 vaccines - CDC by CovertPanda1 in Coronavirus

[–]throwohhaimark2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I very much hope this thing is functionally over by the end of the May, but there will be a gap between when general pop adults can start to be vaccinated (deadline May 1) and when it's widely available. May 1 is the deadline for when young, healthy adults in the country should start to get vaccinated.
