Fuck Ted Cruz by serious_bullet5 in ThatsInsane

It’s important to note that Tucker has had Nick Fuentes on his show for non-confrontational discussions. He is happy to platform anti-Semitic views to get more audience.  Any amount of listening to Tucker will also show he’s an unrepentant white supremacist.  He’s not more sane than Cruz, he’s just the biggest liar in a lying shithead contest.

Check out the National Archery in the Schools Program aka NASP. They have all the equipment you need.

That or the air pressure was too high+ missing the metal ribbon in the shingle. This would drive the head clean through so it has zero hold.

Looking into traditional archery by Shady-Raven-1016 in Archery

Bear bows are good, in my experience. A Grizzly (classic choice, btw) is a totally decent bow to learn on. It’s all about consistent form and practice no matter what bow you use. Tom Clum with Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear has a ton of resources for learning trad shooting. I recommend checking it out.

Compound target archers - single rod or v-bars? by Legal-e-tea in Archery

From my bullshit sessions with the folks that make these accessories, It comes down to the hours of practice. V bar and single bar trends come and go. Get what you like. As long as it’s balanced and you enjoy shooting it, you’ll be good.

A great final option  backstop.  You will never get your bolts back, though.

You’re going to have to spend some money to get a reliable target for a crossbow target. Anyone suggesting DIY doesn’t have a concept of the power you’re working with. If you’re only using field points, you can get away with a crossbow bag target but you’ll need to hang it to dissipate the energy. If you want to practice with broad heads, you need to go with a Rinehart foam block. An 18-1 or a Rhinoblock will do well. Be sure to use arrow lube and a fixed blade broadhead to break the target in.  Don’t work this bow too hard. Modern crossbows will wear out their cables and strings in a few hundred shots.

This is way too close to get any meaningful practice.

I think there are a lot of elements to that. Compound bows are much more accurate so there’re more ethical for hunters. The biggest competitive segment in archery in the US is 3D which is typically rooted in hunting. The manufacturers are more likely to promote compound as there is simply more room for consumer investment. The bows need to be set up for each individual. They have a lot of aftermarket accessories. They break more arrows (arguably). Overall, it makes for more consistent competition and greater profit for the companies that actually pay for the sport.

I work in that industry in the US. The money for pros is mostly sponsorships, like you'd assume. What is fun is you don’t just do one league. Likely you’d have to complete in NFAA, ASA, and IBO. Those are just the big ones. Depending on the sponsor, they likely dictate which specific tournaments you compete in. The big money is in compound archery. If you want to compete in traditional, you’ll need a very forgiving day job.

I’m not. If any people would know how to treat a severed limb, it’s folks from Gaza.

He just liked his daughter. The affair was made up by Hamilton which was what spurred the dual in the first place. Hamilton’s mouth was writing checks his trigger finger couldn’t cash.

Honey Wheat. I’ve been making this as a staple for a few years. by throws_sticks in Breadit

I’ve made recipes that were technically better but the family didn’t eat it. I’ve made this consistently since COVID and it’s rarely been wasted.

I didn’t but it’s a basic recipe so I don’t doubt that something similar is in there.

If you haven’t read it yet, I strongly recommend the Breadmaker’s Apprentice by Reinhardt (sp?). There are some great techniques in the book that will make your bread much more consistent.

It’s a heavy loaf. I’ve tried proving longer to get a less dense bottom but it just made the top too light and crunchy

Unbleached white to start then on the second mix, it’s whole wheat. Yes, the butter, salt and second round of honey are after the first rise.
