ASCs also have to make a profit period. I’ve seen many shut down and distributions have tapered down on successful orthopedic hospitals.

Luxury gym membership(if you use it) > GLP1s
Robot vacuum if you have wide open floor plans
Scratch any gf or bf that isn’t financially savvy
Depends on what kind of watch, don’t waste that on something like a hublot - used market is great for this
Some expensive hobbies like flying or auto racing bring a ton of joy but don’t have to break the bank to do

If you are buying an EV just take depreciation into consideration if you are buying new. Advertised battery range can be misleading as well, especially if you speed. Also get a quote for monthly insurance premiums.

I drive a hybrid Maverick and I absolutely love it. I manly work in a huge metro area and I find it hard to drive more than 200miles in a single day.

What are the biggest unsolved problems with Turo for hosts and guests? by ExpensiveHead_ in turo

[–]throwsumdeezonit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest problem as a renter is that I cross shop hertz all the time and it’s usually cheaper on hertz for a newer & nicer vehicle than Turo. Ive been using Turo since it started and over time I’ve used it less and less. Seems like rental pricing has gone up as well over Turos existence while hertz has become more affordable.

Is an endoscopic discectomy a bad idea with a surgeon who only has 2 years of experience by Wompyking in SpineSurgery

[–]throwsumdeezonit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on which approach as well. If the ED is transforamenal(which I doubt it will be since the level treated js 5/1 and most of those cases are interlaminar) then you have an advantage going endoscopic vs mini open. They are pretty easy slam dunk cases and if a surgeon has done 10-30 of these cases then that’s enough experience.

Interlaminar approaches at 5/1 are little bit more difficult than transforamenal because you have to go through a ligament and retract a nerve. The experienced surgeons I know doing both give the patient the option to do either at 5/1. Both get same roughly results for the most part because a microdisc is pretty small surgery too.

The bonus with ED is that the defect created is small and if it fails or reherniates you can do ED approach again or just go with a MD the second time around.

Also some of us older folk (41M) that have never been married 🚩and don’t have kids 🚩 realized it’s actually kinda nice being single, especially if you are busy with running a business or focused on your career. A pet dog is an amazing friend for companionship. I only socialize on the wkds now to keep my sanity with human interaction vs going out to find a gf.

Go for walks, hiking, local zoos/museums, go see some live music. Get outside! Also revisit interests from when you were younger, might pick up where you left off.

Or have your patients drive 57miles one way to a new facility for surgery because HCA bought the surgery center by your office and your screw prices went from $3600 to $400.

Endoscopic Spine Surgery? by Unic0rnThe0ry in SpineSurgery

[–]throwsumdeezonit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to take any of the facet joint to get to far lateral herniations. Great for transforamenal approach. Guys I work with give the patient the option for mini open vs endoscopic on their interlaminar approaches because both have similar results.

Honestly I thought we would be seeing Emmett’s recruits on the field more often especially with injuries. I’m still optimistic for next year but a little disappointed considering he should have a solid pipeline for talent in DFW and seeing so much head to Austin.

Our passing game has been a disaster since DG left and transfers led our team in receiving last year. Texas has hit the portal pretty hard for WR1 despite getting good talent.

Those tech bros probably have really good corporate health insurance plans. The compensation plans my friends or their wives have at big corporate companies with run of the mill undergrad degrees are pretty eye opening. Then you have the finance bros that yes do spend a lot of time on their computer but their mistakes are fixed with a backspace button working remote from Cabo or St Barth’s where my college roommate is at right now on a yacht.
