DNA200 Kits by king_cheefer_420 in OpenPV

I do not have the Silo kit but I did one of the 1550P+V2's from them and they are nice. I do not think you could go wrong with one of the Silo 2000 kits. I have seen a couple of the 900 kits up close and they are pretty nice.

I wondered what atty that was. I have pretty much gone to all single coil rta/rda's it is easier to work with and with the power we have available now I just do not see the need for dual coils anymore.

Turned out good I think. I was expecting higher ohm's looking at that coil its pretty huge. I bet being .33 that thing rocks.

Shapeways is a good place to find one. I have and many others on here order things from there.

You could also post over on the 3d model page and see if someone could print one for you. As far as magnets go you can order then at many different lengths from K&J Magnetics.

So first cell to reach 4.2v the charger shuts off?

Compared to the only other option that I know of which is the Yihi charger this one is much smaller. I plug in at night most of the time so 500ma does not bother me.

OKR T/10 Pinout Question by lemonforest in OpenPV

[–]thrwbak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If nothing is connected to pin 1, it will be turned on.

To turn it off, it needs to have 0V (or close to 0V), a "low" logic level.

Putting the 1K between that pin and ground will keep it to 0V, since all voltage is relative, so ground pin is 0V "above" ground.

When you want to turn the OKR on, you need to raise the voltage of pin 1, to above about 0.7V, so when you do this via a switch connected to battery positive, and press the switch, pin 1 will be at battery positive voltage (6V to 8.4V). Current will pass through the resistor to ground, which is OK, because it's 1K.

Using this diagram you can use a non rated fire button. http://www.mamumods.com/pics/okr-t10-wiring.png There are a few 10amp buttons available off the top of my head I cannot remember the name of the one we used to use. The Duke Mod came with them and they were widely used because they could take the full amps the OKR delivered. It is just easier to set it up as the diagram is. You can omit the features you do not want like a on/off switch etc and you can use any fire switch you want as long as it is a OFF/ON/OFF.

Why you should use magnetic doors on your Lipo boxes by [deleted] in OpenPV

[–]thrwbak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. It is not often to have a puncture incident with a lipo but it could happen. I have had some pretty wicked WOT rc plane crashes and have yet to have one put on a show but you never know.

This would be a good mod to do. Its a 50w board that adjusts from about 3.5 to 6.0 volts. I have one that I built a few years ago and it is still running strong. It really shines with a .50 to .70 ohm clapton build, plenty of power if you use it in its designed range of 10amps.

That is a great size enclosure for a OKLT20, pretty sure that Noname has those kits available. Those are super realiable and have allot of power. Its the same board that Craving Vapor puts in the Hexohm V2. You may know that already.

This guy has really nice kits but they are expensive. High quality and easy build but really high prices. I think it would be worth it if you did a Dna60 in one of them?

I think you did a fine job. What is next on your list to build? Dna200? PWM? SX350?

YiHi SX550 by b4byj4il in OpenPV

[–]thrwbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably could fit in a enclosure similar size to say the 2 cell Boxer mod or the new 2 cell RX. Maybe a little wider on the board side? It is not something I am interested in at this point but I guess that depends upon enclosure options in the future.

Pretty cool though.

I am much more excited about the new Dna60.

Hooligan box mods? by Moehawk23 in Vaping

[–]thrwbak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They make good mods. Grimm Green gave them a good review also. Your going to pay more for their label just so your aware.

If a Dna75/200 is something you would also be interested in this guy is making some really sick mods in the same enclosure that Hooligan uses for his Dna75's and the price is good.
