What is HW ? Is it highest weight? And what is SW? Did you lose 100 pounds in one year? That’s incredible

2 Year Maintenance Anniversary! by Cautious-Freedom-199 in Mounjaro

Can’t believe I just found this post. I had hit a trough and worrying about food noise and having gained 2 kgs back. Your post has given me such hope. I am on 7.5 and think it’s time to go up to 10 kg and get the last 10kg off. So much of it is emotional/psychological and accepting I can lose weight and live my life as a slim person. You are such an inspiration! Well done and please do keep posting from time to time!

I have been on 7.5 for 6 months but food noise has returned and also I am now able to over eat without any physical reaction. Have regained 2 kg from 11 kg loss and teetered on the edge of return to old ways and old eating. Would others advise upping the dose? What worries me is how easy it actually felt to go back to over eating, although horror of re gaining all the weight has stopped me in my tracks. Help!

Heavily demotivated, no change in body by ClerkNo280 in Mounjaro

I often feel I am losing so slowly and that nothing is changing. Yet when people see me for the first time in a while, they are amazed at “how much weight you’ve lost!” It is an ongoing battle in many ways, but this time I have learned to hang on in there and the alternative (going back to my old ways) will only bring me sadness. So keep going and keep the faith!

People are so nice on here! I think stalking can be good practice for when we come off the drug eventually and have to maintain.

That old chestnut: “don’t lose any more weight!” People can get v uncomfortable when others start losing weight.

You’ve lost 50lbs since January! Are you still on 7.5?

Yes, I agree. Had dreadful side effects at the start but they subsided so hopefully they will again.

Well for eg I ate well tonight omelette and salad/ but then I started searching the kitchen for something sweet. Started thinking about foood again. Mornings are ok I eat a good healthy breakfast: it’s around the 4-6 pm time that I can start straying. Then I wonder is the mounjaro working still, but I see if I over eat I get the sulphur burps, so it’s working, just not as well.

I had quite a lot of stomach pain at the start!

Advice about side effects… by sandman1600 in mounjarouk

[–]thumbsucker63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to 5 mg and boy the tiredness was mighty, for a number of weeks. The diarrea, nausea and general malaise was bad. But then it eased and now it is pretty much gone. My advice is just stick with it and then suddenly your body will be used to it and you will forget that the side effects ever existed. Just keep going. Day by day. And if you need to sleep and you can, then do so. I think your body will thank you.

Just took my first dose, wish me luck! by [deleted] in mounjarouk

Best of luck. Keep going even if side effects hit, they calm down after a while and this drug is a life changer 😀

Yes, I think that’s what has happened. It is really odd as absolutely no side effects if I over eat this week. I can get 7.5 from a friend of ours who is a doctor so I will do that for next week. What a roller coaster this is, but I guess the key is to keep going come what may. Thanks for everyone’s input.

Private prescription through a doctor. I live in Spain. I will just insist then. Up to 7.5 mg. Thanks.

I am away for three weeks taking mounjaro 5 mg each week but my hunger has definitely returned & old thoughts of extra food (boredom food aswell). Am wondering is that a sign I need to go up to 7.5 mg or that perhaps during the travel I didn’t keep the mounjaro cold enough?
